I found (at least for MVP playback) turning off "use incremental screen updates" helped with the choppy menus.

Sub - do you have any more ideas on this one or are we stuck with it?

i have ati-1650 and get this - as someone mentions further up, it seems to disappear after a reboot but after sleeping and waking numerous times, the jumpy menu comes back.

suppose workaround for now is to make regular reboots?

I'm not aware of anything that would cause this, so I dont really have any solid suggestions for you.

Me too. Ati card. Exiting sometimes helps. Reboot allways helps. Havn't looked too much into this as it summer and don't fiddle so much.

Has anyone made any progress in getting to the bottom of this problem?

Afraid not. My work-around is to set up a scheduled task to reboot my machine once every couple of days to keep it "fresh" which generally does the trick. Would obviously prefer an actual solution though as I'm still convinced its some sort of memory allocation/page file problem after GB-PVR has been restarted a certain number of times (which it does every time the machine comes out of standby with FSE mode).

OK, thanks for that. Guess I'll need to do something similar. Does your scheduled task somehow check to make sure GBPVR isn't recording before it reboots?
