So I should telnet after a hard reboot without starting GBPVR on the PCH? If so, when I do that I type 'telnet 192.168.1.104' in and the telnet box appears for less than a second and disappears.

I just realised that you must have started GBPVR because you wouldn't be able to telnet, so your script is wrong. Could you send me your gbpvr.cgi file and I will look at it.

Also you are NOT connecting through the network browser correct?

No, I am connecting to GBPVR on the PCH through 'GBPVR via Network Browser' with no issues.

That explains the problem. I only help on scripts for loading DVD's through the named share. Once you get that working I'll help if you need it.

I really appreciate your help and patience I'm going to show my ignorance once again. I'm not sure what you mean 'loading DVD's through the named share'.

I have a feeling there may be a bit of mis-communication going on here....but I may be wrong.

arkennedy is that how you normally connect to GB-PVR? Or do you select the first option to connect with?

I normally connect using 'GBPVR via Network Browser'. I tried the 1st option 'GBPVR' a couple times after initial setup and got an error so kept used the network browser option. is using the network browser not the typical setup?

I find the network browser a pain, and I think you should avoid it as a solution when possible. Paste the output of the NMT Syntax checker (which I just made sticky) in a message and we can work it out.

You still need to add the mvpmc share to your NMT following part III of the dummies guide,
