Jaggy could you put a usb flash drive into P1 and telnet to your EGreat and let me know if when you issue

ls /opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/

you see USB_DRIVE_A-1

Martin

No I had not do a full power off. I have try that now, same error.
I see USB_DRIVE_A it is different from what you see (without the -1)
I have no idea how I can telnet to my EGreat how does that works?

You can't run telnet.if you can't run a script, that's why I asked Jaggy to give us a hand, he uses an M34a too.

Believe it or not I don't have a usb flash drive, but I do have a usb card reader & a card that I just plugged in & without powering off it shows on the network browser screen as USB_DRIVE_A-1

Is that what you need to know or do you still want me to telnet in? If so unfortunately I will have to ask the same question "how do I do that" remember I'm a simple guy & need simple instructions <grin>

My fault, I don't saw that Jaggy was a people (user)...
I have try to rename the line in usb_a.cgi to my USBdrive name on the NMT.
Code:
mount --bind  /opt/sybhttpd/localhost.drives/[B]USB_DRIVE_A[/B]/mvpmc /etc/mvpmc
And give it a try again, unfortunately the same error.
Hopefully can Jaggy tell us how to get telnet work on the Egreat.
It's all late in the Nederlands its now 1:32. I go to sleep. Tomorrow I'm back online. Thanks for all your good help so far to.

I just ran the NMTinstall & installed on my usb card
I then plugged it into my M34a p1, cold booted
When I had the chance I selected USB_DRIVE_A-1 from the network browser screen
I then pressed the right arrow key four positions to the right to select the icon with the writing on it with the little arrow & pressed OK on it
I then was able to select mvpmc on the next screen
Then GB-PVR.html
Then I was able to select "GB-PVR via USB" & it loaded fine.

Thanks for checking Jaggy. Did you update your firmware after you got yours?

I updated my firmware recently (last month I think it was)

I compared versions when hvannieu posted his message & they appear to be the same.

To add to the puzzle I found one drive that does load as USB_DRIVE_A and the other loads as USB_DRIVE_A-1 so you do have to edit both usb_a.cgi and GB-PVR.htm to remove the -1 if that is how your drive is detected on the Source panel.

Edit: the missing "-1" problem appears to relate to older USB 1.x devices in my simple test of 6 USB sticks.

Yeh that works! The error message 'Regeust cannot be processed' is gone. My display turns now to black. I have tread to change the display settings in the file 'startmeup'. The following don't work:
Code:
/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2 -m 1080p -o hdmi &
/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2 -m 1080p -o component &
/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2 -m 1080p --frequency 50 -o hdmi &
The Egreat haves one output (hdmi), this one is connected with my plasma tv.

You don''t need to change the default startmeup. What it should be is just

/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2 &

If that gives a thirty second black screen that returns to the NMT software there is another issue and I'd like you to compress and upload your GBPVR logs.

Also, are you connecting your EGreat directly to your PC or through a router?
