Your logs show your xmltv file was processed fine, with piles of listings read. If these arent showing in the TV Guide, are you running on Vista/Win7?

Sub,
Sorry for forgetting to mention it on the previous post, XP sp3.

So what transfers the data from XMLTV to GBPVR ? and
how do I check to make sure that that is running correctly?

GBPVR allows me access to both tuners to watch tv and for the most part everything seems to work well, I just can't see what shows are currently playing in the TV Guide. When I click on a show (all be it blank or as it says in the box "no show details") to watch it, it attempts to show the show playing at that time but instead exits back out to the TV Guide presumably because it can't find a program (?). Currently scheduled recordings run without any problems, but those will stop in 2 weeks on 11/26.

bethany,
Thank you for your input. And yes, I do have a firewall and yes all GBPVR programs have a free pass to run wild. I've even shut down the firewall and there was no change. The TV Guide is not getting populated now, where it was 3 days ago.

Have you restarted the recording service &/or rebooted the computer & then tried updating again?

Jaggy,
yes, numerous times with no affect.

I'm sure you have some software running on the machine that is interfering with this communication. A firewall is the usual culprit, but antivirus programs have caused this a few times in the past too.

This error isnt stopping your EPG from being loaded though. This is happening after the EPG update, when its asking the recording service to reload it's recording list.

GB-PVR is responsible for reading your xmltv file and storing the listings. I can see thats working 100% fine now though.

If you zip and attach your gbpvr.db3 file, I'll take a look to see if the database file has become corrupt.

Also, double check "H:\My Docs\My Videos\EPG\xmltv.xml" is the file you're thinking of, and that it has listings for the future dates.

The xmltv.xml file gets the EPG channels from zap2it and those are mapped to the digital channels that your capture source scanned and receives. If the EPG channel number gets changed by zap2it, then you need to remap the digital channels to the new EPG channels. Edit the capture sources and select Map digital channels to EPG channels. Delete the old mappings, remap them, and click update EPG. Then they will show up in the TV Guide.

The database is about 9mb Ziped which can't be uploaded. I have SQLite Expert Personal edition to edit the DB and see whats there (just downloaded it and was taking a look at a copy of the DB). Tell me what to do or look for and I'll do it.

As for the XMLTV, yes that's the one I'm using and referencing.

Again, Thanks for the help.

Its easier for me to look. I'll PM you my email address. Zip and email the gbpvr.db3 and xmltv file.

I got your files via email - thanks.

I've taken a look in the database. It seems you've changed EPG sources at some stage, and there is slight differences to the channel names being supplied, you've got your capture sources mapped to the old channels, which are no longer receiving listings. If two changes have different names, even ever so slight name differences, then the app treats them as new channels.

For example, you have a channel called "2 KTVU", and your capture source is mapped to that EPG entry, but the channel in your new EPG source is "KTVU" (note the lack of number in the name). "KTVU" has listings. "2 KTVU" does not.

SUB,
Thanks again for trouble shooting this. Oddly enough, I never notice it when I was looking at the database and XML file (not that I would've known that they were suppose to match). I can only assume that Zap2it changed their format since I only started looking and playing around with the database yesterday.

So the name field (CHANNEL) in the database must match the first occurrence of the display-name field in the XMLTV. The second display-name field in XMLTV is for display only as is display_name field (CHANNEL) in the database. Correct?

This is one for the trouble shooting section. By the way, is there a trouble shooting section?
