lol
thanks for the info.

sub,
to be honest i don't really like the name of any of the different packages out there. And NPVR is no worse than any of them. Also, are you planning on completely changing what it is called? or is this like pvrx2?

I would think TB-PVR would be appropriate as that is what it gets called around here all the time!

When the wife gets home & things that are supposed to have been done haven't even been touched it is always Quote "You have been playing with 'That Bloody PVR' again!!!!!!!!"

My wife calls it that "popcorn thingy" before it was just "Couldn't we watch it on the pig?" Jaggy my apologizes to the wife, and thanks for giving me such a great help skinning for NPVR, you can tell her its back to the "Honey-Do" list now.

Meh, to me, it's GBPVR. The name of the executable just doesn't matter. ThatApplicationThatNeedsToBeDoubleClickedToStartThePeeVeeArrghThingie.exe works just fine. npvr.exe is good too.

My wife has always called it "gib perv", so you can pronounce it, no matter how unflattering it sounds Smile

I quite like the g3pvr one.

so will the url http://www.gbpvr.com be changed to http://www.npvr.com

Personally, the name GBPVR truly stuck and was easy on the tongue over time.

My wife still calls it 'the TiVo' (or sometimes 'TiVo-thingy'). I generally refer to it as 'the box'. I don't think either of those will work as an official name though.

Any thoughts on using 'DVR' rather than 'PVR'? Next-DVR, G3-DVR, 3G-DVR, etc. I think DVR is more universally understood, and would signify the new more digital world it's aimed at.
