I have a couple of choices to make when I enable recurring recordings with NEWA since I can use a few NEWA enhancements (NEWA options attached). With no feedback I propose these

1) Instead of options for Monday-Friday or Weekends, allow a recording on a specific day.

2) Instead of variable post-padding, used the configured post padding plus allow the end time to be adjusted by a fixed number of minutes.

If they are multiple tick boxes then that makes sense - for "weekend" just tick two boxes" ?? (or am I missing something simple?)

I'm not sure with this one. For a One Off recording then fixed additional time would be preferred as you know you want it - for automatically scheduled stuff I think I would prefer padding that could be ignored by an already existing scheduled recording may be safer. There again, checking conflicts on a fairly regular basis would flag possible problems....... Nah, I can't decide this one, sorry.......

p.s. I think the wording for "this day only" could be miss-interpreted with a quick read (well it made me think for a moment).

This day - the current day
This day - the day of the show that has just been found

maybe default to specific day with the tick box for when the show airs pre-ticked ?????

Martin (just random thoughts).

I was showing the NEWA possibilities for those that might not know them. In SearchLite I'd still use the same NPVR look and feel however instead of the standard NPVR options for

Record Season (Monday-Friday this timeslot) Record Season (Weekends, this timeslot) it would say

Record Season (Monday, this timeslot) Record Season (Tuesday, this timeslot) ...
or possibly
Record Season (Monday, all timeslots) Record Season (Tuesday, all timeslots) ...

These options aren't for Auto-Record, they are for items you find in the EPG database, that you want to record using SearchLite instead of via the EPG. I am generally happy with padding only and rarely change it but some shows go long on a regular basis so I thought replacing the padding would be more helpful. I'm not sure how others use padding.

My example above shows better what I meant.

Thanks for the feedback,

Martin

I have uploaded a new version of SearchLite that works with the latest NEWA (1.5.31 NPVR) Features include

- the ability to save Recurring recordings
- the ability to force an NEWA Auto Run search
- the ability to initiate a daily NEWA Auto Run background search on each session startup
- fixes for timeouts for online services, (they can be disable entirely if needed)
- fixes for merged stations

I see from the wiki that you can use searchlite to search by rating. Is there any way to search by genre?

Thanks.

Programme_genre is no longer a table in the database. I did try attaching GBPVR.db3 and that allowed a genre query, but I figured most people wouldn't want to hassle of keeping the two EPG's up to date especially as stations come and go.

Are you still planning to implement automatic renaming? I need to add the subtitles to the shows, or better yet replace the titles with the subtitles, since titles will be on the folders anyway.

I tried this plugin out, and for some reason I get the cover art and description of some movie with the same name as the TV show I was searching for. I was jsut trying to get the cover art for my TV shows, and now I have the wrong picture. Can someone tell me how to get rid of this cover art?
