Ah, this is weird, it's the NPVR Tray icon that causes NRecord to run at high CPU and do all the other bad things. If I kill the tray icon, NRecord goes back to normal operation. I'll test it for a couple of days without the tray icon to be sure.

I'm seeing the same thing. 12-20% constant CPU usage on nrecord with the tray app running. 0 with the tray app closed.

I've been looking into this here, and cant see the reason you'd be seeing high CPU. I've also been unable to reproduce the problem here.

You could see if this patch helps though.

That patch does seem to have corrected the high-cpu issue. Thanks sub.

yeah, I noticed that too. I suspect that's what sub removed to get rid of the high cpu usage. All part of the process I guess.
