pauly666 Wrote:After replying to this earlier it started to bug me, so just to be sure I created a playlist within MyMusic, saved it and recalled it. Still didn't work. The format of the info in the .m3u file was very different to my .m3u files though (the one created in MyMusic was a line-by-line full path filename of each track, whereas those created in 3rd party apps were 'true' .m3u files).

Could it be something related to this?

Paully hi (I'm just off to bed!)

Maybe the problem does not lie with the m3u rather with the mp3 files. How did you rip them and place them in your folders etc. Do your files play stand alone OK.

What happens if you select a track, hit the red button and do the same with any other track? As that effectively creates a playlist of 2. Would both tracks play. Take a look at Playlist on the left side to see if thay are listed.

I cant figure out why yours do not work as mine are fine.

This isn't so much of an "issue" as a new user question. (Is there detailed documentation for My Music anywhere?)

I would like to be able to select an icon that is the cover art of an album (with artist info, year etc, like in the "detail" view of a folder) and have it start playing that album (autorun the playlist for that album). This would be instead of selecting the folder which has the album cover art as a picture, then browsing into the folder and selecting the playlist.

Is this possible?

Paul

To play a whole album (or any folder i.e. Artist) just press the UNNAMED button Below the -Ch button) on the RC when looking at the album art/name.

So in my frustration I uninstalled gbpvr and mediamvp, downloaded the latest mediamvp, installed it, checked that playlists worked (they did), installed gbpvr (using Blue skin), installed the MyMusic plugin, set it all up in Config, and still only the first track played. However, I just noticed two text files appeared in gbpvr as a result of me selecting the playlist (Cranberried-All.m3u):

Cranberries-All.m3u.failed.txt
Cranberries-All.m3u.success.txt

Both with the same timestamp.

Here's my Cranberries-All.m3u file:

#EXTM3U
#EXTINF:0,02-I Can't Be With You.mp3
..\The Cranberries\No Need to Argue\02-I Can't Be With You.mp3

#EXTINF:0,04-Zombie.mp3
..\The Cranberries\No Need to Argue\04-Zombie.mp3

#EXTINF:0,09-Ridiculous Thoughts.mp3
..\The Cranberries\No Need to Argue\09-Ridiculous Thoughts.mp3

#EXTINF:0,02-Salvation.mp3
..\The Cranberries\To the Faithful Departed\02-Salvation.mp3

#EXTINF:0,06-Forever Yellow Skies.mp3
..\The Cranberries\To the Faithful Departed\06-Forever Yellow Skies.mp3

#EXTINF:0,08-I Just Shot John Lennon.mp3
..\The Cranberries\To the Faithful Departed\08-I Just Shot John Lennon.mp3

#EXTINF:0,09-Electric Blue.mp3
..\The Cranberries\To the Faithful Departed\09-Electric Blue.mp3

And here's the two mysterious text files, "failed" first:

filename: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Shared Music\My Playlists\Cranberries-All.m3u
#extm3u
#extinf:0,02-i can't be with you.mp3

#extinf:0,04-zombie.mp3

#extinf:0,09-ridiculous thoughts.mp3

#extinf:0,02-salvation.mp3

#extinf:0,06-forever yellow skies.mp3

#extinf:0,08-i just shot john lennon.mp3

#extinf:0,09-electric blue.mp3

And now "success":

filename: C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Documents\Shared Music\My Playlists\Cranberries-All.m3u
..\the cranberries\no need to argue\02-i can't be with you.mp3
..\the cranberries\no need to argue\04-zombie.mp3
..\the cranberries\no need to argue\09-ridiculous thoughts.mp3
..\the cranberries\to the faithful departed\02-salvation.mp3
..\the cranberries\to the faithful departed\06-forever yellow skies.mp3
..\the cranberries\to the faithful departed\08-i just shot john lennon.mp3
..\the cranberries\to the faithful departed\09-electric blue.mp3

What are these for, and what are they telling me? I've attached logs in a zip file. I was surprised to see the write.txt log trying to do something with Nero... I don't have Nero installed.

Thanks.

I am not sure how (if at all) theMVP software can override GBPVR settings. I read on another forum that;

...some bright spark at Hauppauge decided that as of v2.2.22190 of the software, playlists would be treated as folders. Therefore selecting a playlist and pressing "OK" or "Play" only brings up a list of that playlists' contents!...

Just wondering if this could effect GBPVR playlists. I am on v.2.2.22146 and my playlists work.

Cheers

Just to be sure I went back to v.2.2.22146 and retried... to no avail.

Oooo!

Which problem are you referring to sub, the issue that Hauppauge are now treating playlists as folders, or something else?

ETA? Wink

The issue with playlists only completing the current song after you return to the main menu, and not continuing on to the next song.

I'll release a fix in the next few days.
