yeah I made a comment on that listing about the price and how you can buy a brand new 2012 one for $109 from smithscity.co.nz (where I purchased the 2012 model I got last week), they've never responded however Smile

reven I'll send you some money next week towards a 2011 player, as obviously I have a vested interest. I'm very much down to the nitty-gritty right now, but as soon as I get some customer payments in I can shake loose a few $.

about NZD$1 to USD0.80, however theres other costs to that, importing the devices, competition for selling them, number of people buying them, we have GST (sales tax, which is 15%). But lots of things are on par with the cost in america (xbox 1, ps4, ipads, iphone etc) just have to remember about GST.

cheers for that I appreciate it. I'll probably go to about $100 for that 2011 player, its not really worth that, but I need it for testing.

didnt get the 2011 player, i went up to $110 (more than its worth) but some crazy person kept bidding more. I'll have to keep an eye out for another one.

I'm not begging, I dont need a 2011 bluray player, I wont personally use it, It will only be used to test on. But if someone wants me to spend time developing for it, then I need a device to test against (people with 2011 devices are reporting a show stopper error that I cannot reproduce on 2012/13 devices).

I don't personally want to fully fund devices I'm only getting so other people can run the app.
