I'm getting the "no audio with LiveTV on my PC" problem intermittently, my MVP is fine. I have a PVR350 but not using TVout. Channel changing with my Hauppaugge 34 button remote is also haphazard but that's another story.

I have noticed if I go into live TV and esc back within 2 seconds that gb-pvr hangs and process goes 100% cpu and I have to kill it with tskmgr. Looking at the status icon the channel is still being recorded. If I start gb-pvr again I can go into live TV and if I wait > 5 seconds I can esc back to main and the recording stops.

That's cool, I found out last night that I can NOT reproduce this in 9108, so I guess that's not a problem for me now. LiveTV is fine now too, the only problem I seem to have now is playing back recordings, for the first 10 seconds no sound..
Not the problem you are working on,but wanted to let you know.

I have the problem with a pvr250 when viewing starts either through epg or live tv, a switch to another channel and back restores the sound. I also have a nova-t in the mix and I don't think it suffers with this issue but I will check when I get home.

I have a pvr 250 and usb2. When installed alone, there's no problem with the usb2. The 250, however, has the problem with no sound in live tv preview mode. the problem exists whether the 250 is installed alone or in conjunction with the usb2.

When the computer is first booted, i have sound with the 250 in preview mode. after changing a channel, however, the sound disappears and does not return until the computer is rebooted.

i have no sound issues when in time shift mode with either tuner, separately or together.

Do you guys find that the info bar at the top of the screen also freezes on the MVP?

I use LifeView Walker Mini with GB-PVR ver. 0.91.8 running on an old 233 MHz PII for recording only. Every time after rebooting of operating system there is no audio in recordings until the original LiveView application is used to properly initialize the system.

LifeTV doesn't work in GB-PVR - I get a "Failed to communicate with the Recording Service" message - so I can't experiment with changing of channels.

These problems are unrelated to the issue I'm investigating.

Sub,

I have a single PVR 250 and I also get no sound when first going to Live TV.

If I press pause on the remote a message says 'Switching to timeshift mode TV' and then I get sound.

Seems alright from the MVP.
