The fact that is shows HD available in search results is fantastic - thank you. Could it also show this in the favorites and highlights icon views (live at the apollo is an example of such a show).

When you schedule a download (radio in this case), I think it would be better if it goes back to the screen from which I just scheduled a recording, rather than going to the downloads screen. Just my personal pref of course...

I have just installed the update and it worked 1st time but the config and program says it is version 3.0.0441 ,have I downloaded the wrong version or is 443 a"typo"

It should be 443 but my build script failed. The 441 version is not correct grab the latest uploaded to the wiki. :o

try adding

Code:

to your showinformation.xml file in the skins directory for community skin and see if that fixes it.

I think I must have been in Dr Who's TARDIS the time now is 8.29 but the time of post is 8.37

I have uploaded the 444 version, I suggest that you upgrade so that you are using a configured version.

I had a look at the 441 version and it is not got the correct behaviour as I said earlier so I suggest that everyone upgrade to the latest version 444.

I've just a couple of questions regarding transcoding and HD streams. I can spot and download the HD shows fine thanks. If I download without transcoding I get a 1280x720 flv file containing H264 encoded video, which plays fine on PC clients, but will not play on my Popcorn Hour clients (afaik they don't play .flv files, even though they can cope with HD h264 files in other media). If I set the plugin to transcode the HD file it reduces the resolution to 720x576 - I've set the transcoder to use Mencoder, high quality.

Is there a setting which would allow for transcoding HD files whilst retaining the resolution? Alternatively does anyone have a suggestion for post-processing which could achieve the same effect?

I would try copying some thing like:

<FFMpegHQVideoSettings>-threads {THREADS} -i {INPUT_FILE} -y --acodec copy -vcodec libx264 {OUTPUT_FILE}</FFMpegHQVideoSettings>

In to the BBCIplayerPlugin section your config XML file, you should be able to play around with the settings to get the correctly encoded result.
