A new version has been posted at http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Plugin/VideoArchive
From the change log:
Jeff
Jeff,
The zip file on the wiki is dated 9/18/2006 but the exe file inside of the zip file is still dated 7/27/2006. Is this correct? Edit: I went through the motions; I downloaded and installed the file from the wiki. The dll is dated 7/26/2006 and startup time remains long. Maybe you uploaded the wrong file? Best Regards, Old Dog

Everthing is fine now. Best Regards, Old Dog

Jeff:
I just installed the newest version, Just a couple of things to report. This may or may not be related to the plug-in. The RecordingInProgress icon is no longer showing when a recording is in progress, nor does the icon associated with a show that was already watched. Thinking back i haven't seen them since my upgrade to the new 98.8 GBpvr. Also the ongoing issue of having to delete a program several times before it's finally removed from the listings. After deleting the show pressing the "go" button on the remote sets things back in line but that didn't used to be necessary. I don't see anything relevant in the logs in the Jeff directory or GBpvr's logs. Would you have any ideas? I've tried it on several skins including blue, so i don't think it's a skin problem.

Hmm. I spent a lot of time working on the delete function and for me at least it is all working now where as before it had issues. Next time you delete a file, can you zip up all the *.log files in the jeff directory for me so I can take a look.
The recording in progress icon is a funciton of th skin you are using. Have you tried the blue skin? If you look in the panels subdirectory of the skin in the VAPanel.xml file you will see a CompositeImage named RecordingInProgress that determines what is shown. Jeff

Thanks for taking a look. I did try the blue skin but I'll try it again. I checked to see if the skin files are still calling that image and they do seem to be. just the image is not being posted. Is it possible it has to do with the database? i have yet to move over to the sq database. I did a complete new install with this version so maybe i need to convert.

The VAPanel-PC.log and/or VAPanel-MVP.log will show you the messages that are being posted to the panel. Check around the time that the recording starts to see if they are showing up. GBPVR does not currently generate any events when recordings start or stop so the panel only checks every 15 minutes (by default) or each time you exit the plug-in and return back to the main menu so there can be a lag before the recording shows up. One way to check things is to go into the video archive plug-in while a show is being recorded and then exit back out to the menu. That should cause a message to be posted right away.

Looking at the VApanel-PC log, below, i see the weather info being sent. I notice that in the config i forgot to check the upcoming recordings so that's not being sent. I'll do that as soon as the recording is finished. It doesn't say anything about sending a command to show the recording now image. 09/18/06 01:38:31:171 PM[1] Set myPanelName to default: VAPanel 09/18/06 01:38:35:609 PM[1] Set myPanelName to default: VAPanel 09/18/06 01:38:38:781 PM[7] Initializing panel message array 09/18/06 01:38:38:781 PM[7] Reqest from Weather Current to display message 'Current: Mostly Cloudy 80 ºF' at priority 3 09/18/06 01:38:38:796 PM[7] Adding message 09/18/06 01:38:38:796 PM[7] Done adding message Current: Mostly Cloudy 80 ºF from Weather Current 09/18/06 01:38:38:796 PM[7] Reqest from Weather Today to display message 'Today: Clear 85 ºF' at priority 3 09/18/06 01:38:38:796 PM[7] Adding message 09/18/06 01:38:38:796 PM[7] Done adding message Today: Clear 85 ºF from Weather Today 09/18/06 01:38:38:796 PM[7] Reqest from Weather Tomorrow to display message 'Tomorrow: Rain 77 ºF' at priority 3 09/18/06 01:38:38:796 PM[7] Adding message 09/18/06 01:38:38:796 PM[7] Done adding message Tomorrow: Rain 77 ºF from Weather Tomorrow this line is in my skin flie for the va panel. <CompositeImage name="RecordingInProgress" size="40,40"> <DrawImage filename="RecordingInProgress.png" loc="5,0" size="35,35"/> It's not much different than what's in the blue skin for VA panel. Since i'm getting weather info i assume it's correct in the main menu skin file. I did try your suggestion about bringing up GBpvr, going into the videos section and coming back out. No image yet. There isn't somewhere in the settings that it could be turned on or off is there? I didn't see one but that doesn't mean i couldn't have missed it. ![]() |
