LOL When I said Yuck, I actually meant yuck as in trying to sleep when it's not silent... I'd have some real problems with that =)

Sub, the fix works for me as well Smile Everything is working now. What great support!

I notice in the survival guide entry for this you say "...your audio/video decoders set to the decoders you prefer to use". It seems to be working OK for me using the System Default Audio decoder - which I have to specify as I need to use FFDShow for audio decoding to get 5.1 support etc (and for some reason you cannot explicitly select FFDShow).

P.S. Thanks again for spending the time to VNC into my machine to work on this. For info, I did some testing on the VNC video dropout issue you had and found that I had the same problem when a video window was open. If it helps for the future I found a workaround in manually selecting 256 colours (I use UltraVNC)

Thanks again

Awesome! Posting about this problem was the last thing I did before going to bed last night as a thunder storm was brewing (lightning struck three homes in Halifax so it was a nasty one).

Then, I wake up this morning, and find things are fixed! Sweet!

Now, I just have to get the TB Audio Advantage Micro running and configured so I can have surround sound and I'm all set!

sub - a big thanks! What was the problem?

It was having a problem querying the DVD for its name. I dont know why this was causing a problem for a large percentage of people. I just removed this functionality since it wasnt used for anything.
