Jeff,

What I know from subtitels is that you have to reencode the whole DVD. Another member Ton did start a little project with the name MVPRECODE It works with mencoder but it still have some little problems.

I will try the option with the deamon tools. Another thing is that my MVP is still rebooting so now and than with the VA plugin installed. I get also a strange message when I try to play a mpeg from within VA "start index cannot be less than zero parameter name: startindex"

I did read in the 0.97.7 survival guide there was an update for VA but when I hit the link I het the message page not found?

For now i have deinstalled the VA plugin and everything is ok

Suggestion?

I believe the latest version of the plugin is available on the WIKI site. You can get to it from a link on the main GBPVR site.

If you are still having this problem, can you zip up and post your log files from the jeff subdirectory? The small database file, by the way, is the empty one used when starting a new archive. Since the database now stores pictures too (which makes the UI more responsive) it can get quite large.

I do notice that my "video archive.mdb" file located in the GBPVR folder is 185 megs (have over 500 movies) and I have another "video archive.mdb" file in the Jeff folder that is only 1.25 megs..I removed the 1.25 meg file...same problem...I remove the 185 meg file so it can recreate a new one...still same problem...Disabled the error reporting as mentioned above...nada:confused:

Cursor moves are OK on left and right screen together with play video; however, as soon as I hit back/exit button, MVP freezes and CPU on PC went to maximum and have to power off the PC.

Is there any log I can take a look to see what VA doing? Thanks.

You can find the logs in the jeff subdiretory. Can you be more specific as to what screen you were on when you pressed escape?

I don't think the errors are related to the weather plug-in. The weather plug-in is doing a backgrounbd download of the weather maps from thread #10; the error is coming from thread #1.

I saw somewhere else that you were investigating the weather plugin and it looked to me like it was just guilty by association. Smile

Hi,
I cant get gbpvr to run with video archive. whenever it is instaled the program shuts down after about 30 seckonds. It runs fine with other plugins weather, rss but not va. i have un instaled & reinstaled va and common utlity with all gbpvr services stoped and tried dif config. I thought it may have something to do with the oledb so i instaled SQLite but still no good. Do you think it could have something to do with microsoft office access, the database files for va in gbpvr main directory are associated with access.
if not what do you think could be.

Jeff,

I have passed the login screen successfully. I am able to move around the Recording screen without problem. If I am in recording screen and hit Back/Exit, the process GBPVR.exe will jump to 99% CPU usage.

I am also don't have a problem getting VA to play video. I am able to skip forward/backward without problem, but as soon as I hit back/Exit while playing video. GBPVR.exe process will jump to 99% CPU.

Another test with just moving around in VA recording screen, then hit green button to turn off MVP. GBPVR.exe process also went up to 99%CPU.

Every time, I have to manual power off. Please check to see if you see anything odd in the log. Thanks.

couple more gbpve.exe logs with default blue skin and latest GBPVR.exe patch.

Dan L.

PS. this is only a problem when using VA with users added to user tab; otherwise VA works extremely well.
