You can always set GB-PVR to record using DVR-MS, then tell it to automatically convert recordings from DVR-MS to MPEG2. This doesnt involve any transcoding and only takes a couple minutes after the recording completes. It would at least worth doing this to check if you still have the problem.

Yes. As I've said a few times, it sounds like either the mux or device (or its drivers) to me.

Yes, I've already tested it with the DVR-MS. Unfortunately this didn't change anything.

Sorry sub but I'm a bit frustrated. I think I've tried every configuration setting and mux combination I can think of at least 5 times. And I still get the same undescriptive error.

I did at least 30 recordings with Media Portal without problems - so I'd bet that it's a bug in GBPVR.

Too bad GBPVR isn't open source. I'd love to debug this to try to fix it.
