If you're the first person to try using this card with GB-PVR, then you'll probably need to add a section to the bda.ini file. There is a write up on the wiki about how to do this.

If you get stuck, let me know any I'll try to help out.

Also post the bda.ini section if you get it going.

I still haven't been able to get my card working. I looked downloaded graphedit and took a look at that, but there aren't any entries in the areas it tells me to look. I attached a screen shot of what GraphEdit shows. Not sure if you will be able to see what it says. I know the card works because I have it going in DVBViewer. Any ideas?

Here is a link to the screenshot for a bigger view if it helps: http://josh.w.morris.googlepages.com/graphediterror

If there are no BDA components listed, then your device probably doesnt have BDA drivers, meaning it wont be compatible with GB-PVR.

I'll double check for you though. Can you run FilterCheck then attach the resulting FilterCheck.log: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...ostcount=6

TigerJosh Wrote:I will preface this by saying I am a total noob to GB-PVR, but I am pumped to get it going. I have a Air2PC card that I got off of eBay and I have noticed many other folks here have the card as well. I haven't been able to get mine set up in GBPVR yet though. It doesn't show up as a valid card in the drop down for Capture Cards and when I click the "Only show devices detected in this machine" checkbox it says there are no cards detected. The card works in the software I got from Technisat, so I know if works. Does anyone have any words of wisdom for me?

This is the EXACT same problem I'm having, and I'm 99.99% certain that it is occurring because I don't have the BDA drivers installed. I did locate beta BDA drivers for this card on the Technisat website ( http://www.technisat.com/?site=service/d...352&reload ), but I cannot seem to get the card to function with the BDA drivers. I can get the "stock" drivers to install just fine -- the card appears as a Network Adapter under my Windows 2000 Device Manager. I've tried installing the BDA drivers (updating the existing driver from Device Manager and pointing to the BDA driver), and when I do so the card THEN appears as a capture device in Device Manager under the Sound, Video, and Game Controllers section, but the device shows a yellow exclamation point ("!") and the following message is shown when you look at the device Properties:

"The device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the driver required for this device. (Code 31)

Click Troubleshooter to start the troubleshooter for this device."

Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong? So many other people seem to be having good luck at getting this card to work with GBPVR, so I know it's probably something I'm doing wrong, but it's maddening at this point.

Sad

Here's a copy of my FilterCheck log, FWIW:

Sorry, this confirms that this device is not using BDA drivers, so is not compatible with GB-PVR.

Ok. I guess I'll just need to get another ATSC card then. Smile
Any recommendations on a good ATSC card? I looked at the list here: http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Manual/CaptureCards but I would be interested in hearing if you had any guidance on a really good one. I am just looking to capture over the air HD signals.

I'm not in a country that uses ATSC, so I'm probably not a good person to give recommendations. I've never even seen an ATSC card.

(dont get an ATI HDTV Wonder though - it has scanning issues with GB-PVR)

I don't see how that helps, but if you need me to flip it over and take some pictures I can.

Thanks Big Grin but I'd still have to say I'm not the best person to ask for ATSC device recommendations.
