I'm in IT and most of my friends are in IT also, any of them that can't get GBPVR going by themselves don't deserve it. I reckon it can be set up for others and then left and not have any problems what-so-ever. I get my EPG from the digital transmission which really helps, even though it has an internet connection it doesn't need one. After all the fine tuning it has no problems ever.

I received a lovely "One For All" Universal learning remote on Christmas morning (was swapped out for a Harmony 659 on Boxing Day). The guy at Future Shop (Owned by Best Buy) told her it was "just as good" and it was "the one I have at home".
Unbelievable a salesperson would talk a customer into buying cheaper. I have had a Best Buy employee get mad for me buying what he was brainwashed to believe was unacceptable. They make their money on the accessories.

I have a One for All URC 8910 in the living room for the HTPC and ReplayTV and a Harmony 659 and a URC 6131 in the bedroom for the MVP and ReplayTV. My wife likes the URC 6131 the most. I like the Harmony 659 the most, especially since I can name the buttons on the screen. I can't name them on the One for All remotes.

You can, but it takes a little more work; IIRC, it requires the use of an 'extender' to reflash it. I've never got round to doing mine (it's on the list Smile ), but you can find more on the JP1 forum. I just use remote master to program mine and it I love it - I press one button and (for example) the tv input changes, the receiver changes input, and the xbox360 comes on...

- and bonus, I get a kick out of seeing remotes in the $100+ range and knowing mine cost twenty bucks and a bit of hacking!
