Ok.....lets try this.....copy the attached to your GPBVR directory (this will overlay the current version with the new version with more debuging information)

Start the service (or try to......)

Post what is in your TitanTvRemoteSchedule.exe.log file in the gbpvr\logs directory.

There should now be info so long as the service even tries to start.....you should see some lines like the following:

Code:
2007-07-14 15:45:42.874    INFO    [1]    Now initializing TitanTvRemoteSchedule component...
2007-07-14 15:45:42.874    INFO    [1]    Now initializing TitanTvInterface...

User Id: your user id
User UUID: your UUID

Remote Schedule Entries will be checked every 0 hours, 1 minutes and 0 seconds.

Recording Settings From Config:
   PrePad:  0
   PostPad: 0
   Quality: high

2007-07-14 15:45:42.905    INFO    [4]    Killservice flag was not set to true.  TitanTvRemoteSchedule service will now be starting in a new thread....
2007-07-14 15:45:42.905    INFO    [5]    New thread for TitanTvRemotSchedule service is now starting....
2007-07-14 15:45:42.905    INFO    [5]    Now checking for new schedule requests at: 7/14/2007 3:45:42 PM.

Next check at: 7/14/2007 3:46:42 PM.

EDIT: Found an area missing some exception catching in the scheduling code. Attachment now updated with new GBPVRSchedule library to more accurately catch failed recordings as well as exceptions. Info is always written to the TitanTvRemoteSchedule.exe.log file.

Hehehe, I get an empty log. I tried to restart it again while I had the log file open. As expected, I was prompted to reload the file, but it was also blank. At least it rotated the log file and created a new one, even if it was empty.

It can take a little while until the data flushes to the log.....check and see if anything is there.

Did the service fail right away?

That's wierd - The service just started up. I didn't do anything. Maybe Titan had to flush that schedule for the recording.

I'm currently recording something so I don't wanna mess with it just yet Wink. I might get a chance later tonight to do some more testing.

Well.....I am not sure what is going on.....I hard coded your UUID into the service and ran it for an hour checking every minute without issue.

Are there any messages in the windows event log when it crashes?

Nope, no messages. I'll try starting it up again and see what happens.

It stopped after 2 minutes. Nothing in the logs or anything. Really strange.

What OS are you running it on?

What account is the service running under?
