have you tried full screen exclusive mode yet? it actually fixes it for me..Smile
but it has some sync problems for me if i bring up the osd..
[using too much osd causes it to go out of sync]
other than that it works perfectly..

Give DScaler5 a shot if you haven't already. The support is crappy and development has all but stopped, but it gives the best results of any decoder I've tried on my system(s).

Might want to try disabling firewalls, antivirus or anything else running for short period to see what happens. Usually if you have decoder or renderer issues, the video has problems constantly. If you're dropping a few frames only every 10 seconds or more, I'd say you have something else getting in the way.

I'm believing that this is the case the more I mess with things. The problem is it's so hard to diagnose. I'll give dscaler a try. No reason not to, I've tried everything else! Smile

Hell yeah it was... Last night I watched a race I had pre-recorded in pure bliss. The cars went around the track in a smooth, non-seizure-inducing way. Cool Big Grin

Tried it yesterday. Same story. Wished it would solve my problem but sadly it didn't.

Dang.

Have you tried leaving task manager minimized while you watch TV? Then when you see the glitch, quickly look at TM to see if there was a spike in CPU usage. If so, you could use sysinternals' File Monitor to possible track down what is causing the jump in CPU usage.

Are you timeshifting TV when you notice this? Could be HDD performance or IRQ issues causing the glitch. Have you defrag'd your recordings partition lately?

And while tracking CPU usage in task manager, try increasing the polling frequency to High instead of the Normal setting. I've found if a process spikes the CPU very briefly it might make the CPU usage show up as 40-50% under a normal polling frequency but 80-90% when set high. Might help uncover the culprit.
