You do need new drivers from VistaView that support QAM.

Ok Dumb question, how do I add the qam channels into my guide?

I have the pci version of this card. when scanning for digital channels the first channel it finds starts at 20khz? The tv i have seems to show the frequency that the digital channels are on and it looks like the music channels are around 14 to 16 khz. The scan finds channels between 20.1 and 90.1 khz. 2 of those frequencies show a picture in the preview screen only. The analog side of the card seems to be working ok. What do I need to do to get gb-pvr to find the rest of the digital channels and to get them working in Live TV?
Thanks for your time Bryan

Do a QAM scan with this device then zip and attach your config.exe.log and config.exe-native.log and I'll take a look.

If your cable company is not using the standard frequencies that GB-PVR scans then you can edit the .\BDA\ATSC\qam.ini file to replace some entries with this format that specifies the frequency:
Quote:1=73250,0,0 Plugin whatever frequencies your cable operator uses.

Also have a Vista View Saber DA-1n1-E Combo card. Works with Beyond TV and Sage TV, but not GB-PVR. This card is newer than the Vista View 2020 card that appears in the GB-PVR set up interface list.
I am trying to learn from a Vista View supplier if and when a driver for GB-PVR might come available. In meantime I'll keep monitoring this thread. |
