I used to have a problem like you mention. I documented mine here:
http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=29453&page=2 It has not reocurred since I updated my drivers using the process I documented here: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=30119&page=2 I have never had an issue since then. Edit: I also applied the Registry patch for the timestamp issue.

as a follow-up, in mid-February, I swapped the memory I had in another Dell-2400, here it is about 45 days later, and the problem has not reoccured. There have been no problems with the old memory in the other PC, I ran a memtest over there for a week. Regular PC stuff, word/excel hasn't revealed any issues.
e.g. this one truely did appear to be a memory problem, one that could not be found with memory tests I had at my disposal.
