Thanks - I now get video when playing in PVRX2 (only 53% CPU), however, I get no sound.

Here's my settings from the config app:

I'm running Windows 2000, so I suspect I have no options on the PC other than recording and burning to a disk for play on a Blu-Ray player. I can play x264 720p files just fine (35% CPU on dual Athlon system) and HD files (1080i 720p) recorded with a MyHD are OK at under 50%, but the samples won't even start. (PowerDVD has no usable version that I can find for Win2k, XP/Vista only)

There was a mention of supplied software capable of burning (authoring) the files in the BD format onto a DVD-R disk. (~2 hours per disk estimated) Since Blu-Ray players can play standard DVDs, they can read the self-created disks and hopefully play them.

Zip and post your pvrx2.exe-native.log after attempting to play the file.

No audio decoder is being loaded.
Quote:2008-04-05 21:38:46.046 VERBOSE Graph contains the following filters:
2008-04-05 21:38:46.046 VERBOSE - Video Renderer
2008-04-05 21:38:46.046 VERBOSE - Realtek AC97 Audio
2008-04-05 21:38:46.046 VERBOSE - ArcSoft Video Decoder
2008-04-05 21:38:46.046 VERBOSE - MPEG-2 Demultiplexer
2008-04-05 21:38:46.046 VERBOSE - SOURCE
2008-04-05 21:38:46.046 VERBOSE getSetting(SaveGraphFiles)
I double checked and I'm not getting audio in PVRx2 either on the test files. I'll look into it when I get a chance. Unless sub has any ideas.

I installed the Arcsoft software too with no audio in PVRX2.exe or in their software. Do you really want to hum along to the waltz I hear on the PCH though?

The 'why' is a long story which I wont bother going into, but to get it going you'll need the haali spliter installed, and this GB-PVR patch http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...stcount=17, and the config.xml entry mentioned in that post.

Is the haali splitter the same as the matroska splitter? Matroska is the download on the Haali page

Yes. It was renamed from 'matroska splitter' to 'haali splitter' in 2005, but lots of things on the website still refer to the original name.

Looking forward to listening to it myself!! I don't watch to many movies on the PC itself, but on occasion I do.

I'm looking forward to a PCH to get HD in my family room. Right now I'm using my cable company's DVR which barely holds 20 hours...
