Early days but that looks to have done the trick - what was the root cause?

If you weren't so far away I'd give you a kiss (please don't tell me you are in the UK on business)

Great. It related to something odd happening with the pin-mediums on these devices. I just added logic to take other factors into account when using the appropriate capture filter to connect to a tuner filter.

@Elmo Putney

Glad to know you were finally able to update your NPVR. In case other BGT3650 users find this thread, it might be helpful if you stated which driver version you are currently using. You're running Win7x64, right? I'm also curious if you are still avoiding IE10 and the earlier platform update.

There was another thread involving the BGT3650 two months ago suggesting to me that the drivers weren't compatible with 8.1 preview: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...post460700
[Edit] Driver 9.1.0.1 wasn't available two months ago, so 8.1 users with BGT36XX should try that version.

I updated to 9.1.0.1 drivers in the process, I didn't test the earlier ones - but could if needed. I'm on x64 windows 7 but I have not done the IE updates and many others for fear of breaking stuff, now that I have an updated npvr working I will do a backup and throw all the latest windows patches at it - tomorrow's job.

As a final closure of this thread...I now have a fully patched windows 7 x64 setup including the platform updates and internet explorer 10 updates running with npvr 3.1.1 on the black gold 9.1.0.1 drivers.

All seems well and stable.

Case closed -thanks Sub - usual Easter donation secured Smile
