Gotham: Intermittent 'Tuner no longer available'

Tried latest nightly (17 may), same situatoion: tuner no longer available with radio and timeshift enabled

The change I'm talking about hasn't been merged yet, so it won't be in the nightly builds. I've asked for it to be merged (a week or so ago), but they haven't done it yet. This change only effects 'tuner not available' messages with timeshift disabled.

Margro has included that patches in his latest build and indeed radio zapping (for Mediaportal plugin) had a big speedup (from 10-12 secs to 3-4 secs).
Seems that xbmc is waiting for filling also video buffer.
Don't know if that patches have to be implemented in master xbmc or at plugin level.
What do you think sub?
If you manage to speedup radio nextpvr+xbmc will become the perfect combination.

There's a problem, then, because with latest Margro's build radio zapping has improved, but only when using MePo.
Using NextPVR tv zapping is very good (much better than NextPVR itself as frontend), but radio zapping is still slow.
There's a particular log to see to find the problem?

Ultimately his PR was not accepted https://github.com/xbmc/xbmc/pull/3590 that is why their are still custom builds.

That PR improves only tv zapping (as Margro itself noted after a post of mine in xbmc forum), and other changes made in master branch already improve zapping speed.
Tv zapping speed beteween master and margro's buils is negligible.
The other changes are related to a patch that FernetMenta made lately and margro merged in his builds post gotham final, and they improve only radio zapping (I think not waiting for the video buffer to fill).

After updating to OpenELEC 4.2 beta 1 (and it still having version 1.9.7 of the nPVR add-on) I was still getting "tuner not available" error when trying to watch LiveTV.

I built the Linux_x64 version of nPVR 1.9.10 in a virtual machine and it works on OpenELEC for me finally. I've attached it but had decrease the xbmc.pvr dependency to 1.9.0 (to work with Gotham).

How did you install this? When I try to install from zip on openelec running on rasppi, I get error message about unable to load DLL.

He wrote "I built the Linux_x64 version ..." which means it only runs on Intel x64 architecture.
