So far I have seen far more problems on server side then the client so don't rush to blame the client. As an example the weird colours would easily be explained by the bad screen size you were using. That MVP log doesn't even show a connection attempt. If there is anyway to get the putty log then that would the next step.

Could I see the current syntax check for both devices?

Here they are. Don't think 192.168.0.50 is alive. Nothing shows on the TV screen, not even the 'loading' screen

For the putty log, did you follow the instruction to exit to the NMT software screen from the NextPVR screen before running /etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2

I couldn't. The NMT freezes after I select NPVR. As no doubt you saw it does load mvpmcx2, but I could only tell this by telnetting in and looking at /etc. All I have on the TV is a blank screen (actually I didn't think to try hitting return in the hope that it would work even though I can't see it - should I do this?)

Ok edit npvr.cgi and but the # before

sh -c /etc/mvpmc/startmeup 2>/dev/null >/dev/null &

then telnet in.

remember to unplug the PCH when doing any of these tests.

OK attached. The program did not complete normally as you will see. I had to ctrl-z out of it, then crash the terminal

The putty.log is the same in both files you have sent.

Whoops, sorry, don't know how that happened

Attached putty and MVP log.

I ran it again this morning (this is the log attached), and it stopped just as before, so I ctrl-zed out. Then it struck me I should have waited a bit so I ran it again, this time it got past the stop point but seemed to go into a loop - had to crash the terminal to exit

Ran the syntax checker too - it seemed OK

Ctrl-z is not possible with mvpmcx2 you need to power cycle.

Try this to make sure that there is a clean set of logs. Also check the hdmi cable and hdmi source on the tv first

restart the recording service
connect to newa with the browser
power on the NMT
run the npvr.cgi script
telnet to the nmt as before but first run

/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx -v
then as before
/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx

Send the putty log and zip up the whole nextpvr log folder

OK, done all that. Logs attached. Connected the NMT to another TV so the HDMI wasn't running through a distribution box in case that was the problem Same screen size etc though

mvpmcx2 behaved the same and I did the same thing. Stopped it and re-ran. I put a note addressed to 'Martin' in the PuTTy-1 log at the point where it stopped. You can find it with a search function

Presume you didn't want the old logs (.1,.2 etce)from NPVR. let me know if you do
