Thanks for your very quick reply!

I have seen those lines in the log. But I have only enabled DD tuner 1 and tried to scan channels. All other devices are disabled. I do need the CI/CAM, but I also tried to do without it. Makes no difference, the device will not start.

I think you're gonna be out of luck with the CI on this device with NextPVR. If you want us to investigate scanning issues with the CI set to None, post the logs and I'll take a look.

Here are the logs, with CI disabled.

Disappointing if the CI cannot be used. It is also from Digital Devices and works nicely with DVBlink and MediaPortal.

Because I have several problems with both of these, I am exploring other solutions.

I´m struggling with the same issue. I have a Digital Devices DVB-c looking for an option other than Mediaportal or DVBLink and NextPVR comes recommended but I really need CI. The device fails with "unable to start" message like mentioned here. Please indicate if you are willing to take logs and do some efforts to make this work #prettyplease

Sorry, but NextPVR doesn't work with the CI on Digital Devices DVB devices. I no longer have any way to test CI here, since my cable provider moved to a non-smartcard encryption system, so I'm no longer extending CI to additional devices.

If i disable the CI assigment in DD panel it works, only with unencrypted channels.
The moment i enable the CI cards in DD i get the same message unable to start device

Sorry dayfly, I accidentally edited your post, when I tried to reply. (and half of it went missing in the process)

I have no plans to add additional CI support. As mentioned above - I no longer have smartcard setup here, so no easy way to test this stuff. Sorry.
