Is the mvp skin set to blue or default? I don't have an MVP so I am grasping at straws here. Make sure it is set to blue.

I got it to work in PVRX2, but not on the MVPs. I found that it doesn't appear to offer any better functionality than the standard Music Library. I'd really like to be able to jump ahead/back in an MP3 when listening to podcasts (like when playing a video) and other long MP3 files. Having playback time would be cool too. The description of Music Player says it should do this, but I couldn't get it to work.

Okay, I set the skin back to Blue-Retro-SHV so my wife can read the menus on her 13" TV, and now my MVP's boot to the menu, then immediately reboot. PVRX2 runs, but selecting any menu item shows the submenu briefly (just a flash), then back to the main menu. I tried unchecking the Music Player plugin in Config, but it had no effect. I can't even select "Exit" in PVRX2, I have to kill it from Task Manager.

I switched both PVRX2 and MVP back to the Blue skin, all is good again.

Any ideas how to get Blue-Retro-SHV working again? Remove the MP folders and files?

Thanks,
-Brad

The MP plugin files should be all you need to remove. After cleaning up those files, check your logs after you reproduce the problem.

Afaik jumping backwards and forward isn't supported by gbpvr, so it won't work in the plugins either.

You may well be right, but I would have thought it would have been tested and the wiki updated, but maybe not.

Fatman_do, deleting the MP folders in the plugins, skins, and skins2 folders did the trick. PVRX2 and all MVPs are working now with Blue-Retro-SHV.

I had checked the logs, but had done so many tests it was hard to tell what errors were from when. I'll try to take a more methodical approach in the future, I'm getting better at reading the logs.

Unfortunately we record a lot of prime-time TV, which is also when I am most likely to have free time to troubleshoot stuff like this. Too bad there isn't a way to apply some of these changes without interrupting the recording service. One of the good things about working from home, you can get a few things done on your lunch break. ;-)

Thanks again for all the help.
