I have been trying to install the Security Cam plugin without success. Based on my reading of the other posts. I should be able to just install the plug in (I checked the skin, plug-in and gbpvr folders for the proper files). I get the button in GBPVR but when I click on it, it loads, but is blank. When I exit I get "cannot process request because the process has exited"

It is a Logitech USB Quickcam, and I tested it with other software.

Any ideas?

do you see another window come up when you click on it. I spawn another process called "WebCam" in the task manager which enables the camera and gets the images. The plugin connects to it and retrieves the data. Can you email me your gbpvr.exe.log to jared_dubin at hotmail.com

It does spawn the window, but it is black, just like in GBPVR

Here is the file, I hope it's the correct one. I checked the plugin in the "plugin" tab. Ran GBPVR and tried to rund Security Cam. Same result, except no error message this time.

Thanks

I checked out the xml. It looks correct. I am using some sample web cam logic I found online. You can try (dont know if it will help) to change the connection="0" in the xml to 1. Otherwise I am wondering if your camera is not compatiable with the web cam logic I found.

It still doesn't do it, in device manager it's called device "0". It is an old USB camera. Thanks for trying!

I love the idea of this plugin- I can keep the "eyes in the back of my head" on my kids in their playroom :p . I'm havng a little trouble, however. When I launch the plugin from the GBPVR menu, I don't get any webcam video. If I then go to the gbpvr directory and run webcamcapture.exe, the video begins to work. Is there a way to have webcamcapture.exe automatically start when needed?

Another question: Even when webcamcature is running, I don't get video over the MediaMVP, only on the computer screen running GBPVR. Is there a way to get the webcam to work over the MediaMVP?
