Just a Quick Update: Its taken a bit longer than I thought to get the plugin updated, However, I am in the final stages of debugging now and hopefull should have something out very soon...

great to hear smiler

another "hand in the air" from someone who absolutely loved this plugin. It would be fantastic to get it working again.

Ok, after a bit of screwing around with getting all the tools together and improving the BBC Iplayer website searching capability, I think I have a release that you should be able to use. Rolleyes

I have updated the wiki with the latest information and download Zip.

In summary this is what you need to do:
  • Get New versions of Getiplayer(alternative version), FFMPEG and FLVStreamer and install them (they are all required)
  • You need to open config.xml and delete the FFMPEG config settings as these are actually not compliant with the latest version of the ffmpeg binary downloads!
  • Restart the get iplayer service after you have deleted the config.xml entries

I have fixed quite a few bugs in the existing code which might have some side effects, however please give it a try and tell me how you get on. Good Luck Wink

Looking great so far. Downloaded a show perfectly. Quality looks very good (I leave as native flv)

3 very small problems I am happy to live with if necessary:-

1. I searched for "HD" and found nothing even though there is a program called "Electric Proms: Elton John (HD Available)" that when you select it brings up the title Electric Proms: Elton John (HD)". I think I used to be be able to search for "HD" successfully.
2. There is some kind of weird keyboard mapping going on. I can;t enter any of these symbols into the search field !"£$%^&*() and other characters are not mapped right. I am not sure if this was always the case or not.
3. I think the plugin and the service at chatting to each other a little too much. When I run the iplugin, PVRX2 at about 35-40% CPU and the GetiPlayer service at 15-20% CPU. Both drop to virtually 0% when I go back to the menu.

I am really happy to see this plugin back.

remind me again, when does the beta phase come to an end? :-D

cheers

This is unfortunatly a feature of the BBC search engine which they have also upgraded, if you can find a way of searching on the website for hd let me know!

None of the code here has changed, I'm not sure what is gone on here, I use the gbpvrutils dll for these functions

This is an ongoing issue that I am trying to get to the bottom of, the CPU on mine is very little unless I put the window out of focus, where i get a massive jump in CPU. I will try to look in to this if I get a minute.

Glad you are using it, I might make it a full release when I eventually move over to N-PVR Big Grin

I have made a new release of the plugin (546) that has fixed a bug I found when downloading multiple HD or non transcode files in a queue. It is available on the wiki if you are having issues with the current version.
