Hey sub. Just to let you know that it works. However, it seems intermittent. It was working last night after I added the line. But when I tried it this morning, it didn't. (The tray icon was green, saying FM Radio was on had to restart the program) But then a few hours later, I tried again and it worked. LOL weird.

Hey Sub

the fix worked for me too. I will let you and primetime know if I have any intermittent behavior.

Thanks for all your help!

Some people have problems the very first time they try to listen to the radio. If you get this, just press the stop button and try again. It only happens once. I've got it on my list of things to look at some time in the future.

Yours also indicates it should be "Preview Audio", like the others above. If that doesnt work, then I dont know.

Okay, another day off and another go at fixing my FM Tuner on my Win-TV-PVR-USB2. (BTW, updated smoothly to v96.12)

I tried the play, stop, then try again trick but this does not work for me. Each time I press play, I get one second of audio then it abruptly goes silent. The status says it's still on FM Tuner. I know the radio works because Hauppauge's original radio program works.

I've attached my logs and the filtercheck.log as well.

For those with problems, can you check what version of Win TV PVR USB2 Encoder driver you're using in device manager? I am using 2.2.58.22194.

Just some background info. FM tuner broke a couple of versions of gbpvr back but I always thought it was my fault. I had windows media player 8 and after selecting a station to listen to, gbpvr it would freeze and I would see some windows media player button at the top left corner. Occassionally an error message showed up saying State exception error or something.

After installing Windows Mediaplayer 10, that error message went away and i no longer saw the windows media application and button appearing on top of gbpvr. But instead I got an error message saying no recording device found or something, so i searched the forum and got the idea of re-register my lame.ax and the JET files? That error message went away and I didn't get any audio but no error messages.

I've even tried adding the line PIN_CAPTURE_PREVIEW_AUDIO_OUT=Preview Audio

or changing it to Output3 (even after checking FilterCheck it says Preview Audio).

I have in direct.ini a section for...

[Hauppauge WinTV PVR USB2]
[Hauppauge WinTV PVR2 USB2]

and I even added another section (copied and paste)

[Hauppauge WinTV PVR2 USB]

in case it was some spelling issue.

So, this is where I am now...with one second of audio... any ideas Sub?

Thanks!

Sorry, I cant see anything obvious there. The logs look fine.

The logs only seem to show the record side of things, not playback. Are you able to provide a log that shows the playback side of radio? If you're running multiple instances of gbpvr.exe (ie, MVP servers) then only the first started will produce logs.

Sorry, I'm not sure I understand your request. The logs that I submitted were generated after I went into FM Radio, selected the station I had previously added 98.1, pressed OK, heard the one second audio, then silence, then I presssed stop. Saw which logs were updated (based on the date modified) and zipped whichever logs looked the newest and attached it to the message.

I've attached new logs again showing several attempts of playing the FM Radio changing between two different stations 97.3 and 98.1. (Logging is set in debug mode, that is what you prefer right?)

Please let me know if i have to do something else to show you the playback side of the radio.

No MVP, just Win-TV-PVR-USB2.

Not sure if this tells you anything but if I press Play, then press Menu, I see the visualizations briefly in the inset video window, then it stops and displays the Recording Soon: items again.

EDIT: Only one instance of gbpvr.exe. Very simple set up, gbpvr server is output directly to my t.v.

Woohoo!

So, my FM Tuner now works after I upgraded my htpc to an AMD 1.3 ghz from an Intel P3 700mhz and from 512megs of ram to 768.

I wonder if my sqlite database locking error will get fixed too...
