Which Windows Server 2003 are you runing with GBPVR?

Standard or Enterprise?

You say 1TB is that just two 500MB or something else?

I'm running standard with SP1. I have two 300's with RAID 0, two 250's with RAID 0 and a 250 external USB in there for good measure. The first is my recording dirve, the second is my archive drive and the USB drive is my backup drive. My boot drive is a 160 and I have 20 gig drive that is used for just the swap file.

Eventually. I realise its not quite there yet, so I'm supporting both for a bit longer. You can already see dongle.bin getting left behind on certain features (cleaner shutdown and video in a window with gbmvp.bin)

I wanted to post a follow-up because I'd mentioned previously that auto-skip started working again, after the new gbpvr.exe had been installed for a few hours.
The mpv reboots are history, but the intermittent auto-skip problems return (for me) each time the mpv or gbpvr is restarted.

The only thing I notice that’s different when it happens is:
Auto skip works if a video starts playing, then skips back about ½ second to the beginning, and then continues playing normally.
Suto-skip doesn’t work if the video plays from the start without the short reverse skip at the beginning.

In summary, with the magic patch, should I be using the old dongle.bin or the new gbpvr.bin?

Either should be fine.

I put the patch in, switched to gbmvp.bin and got a reset while navigating through Video Archiver:

Can anyone tell me if the gbpvr.bin will ever support AC3 audio? The mvpmc project appears to have added support to AC3. Is the BIN file the place to add AC3 support?

Maybe in the future. Not at this stage.

Just like to report I watched a two hour recorded show with no disconnects after the patch, even using FF and Pause. LiveTV seems OK too. Thanks sub!

I haven't tried the gbpvr.bin again yet. I need to stabilise the WAF a bit first :-)

vis-a-vis AC3 audio:

Have a look at
http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...hlight=AC3
http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php...hlight=AC3

Those threads contain links to the shspvr forum and an optical TOSLINK Hack, but I'm not sure of the AC3 capabilities...

I just had a recording exit unexpectedly back to the Recordings screen, so I just installed the patch and will report back if I have any problems.
