You will have to update the AF9005 driver to the Terratec one, which is included in the download.
Thanks

I'd just about given up on this until I saw this. Even with the latest updates, I still can't get blaze working correctly.

However, the terratec dirver/application seem to work realy well. The video is very smooth, and picture quality seems to be much better. The only problem is the remote not working - though I guess I can use girder to replace this.

The install is very easy, but you do need to uninstall the device, then plug in the dongle again and select the terratec driver specifically.

Now to get it working with gbpvr...

I tried the Terratec driver and application and it seems to work well. At least it finds a lot more channel than Blaze. Unfortunately it doesn't seem a driver problem, since I can barely watch a just couple of channels while, with the same antenna-cable on my TV the quality is perfect. This chip seems to be real bad, I wouldn't reccomend it to anyone. Sad

Has anyone also noticed that the device also starts to get quite warm?

When i first start watching tv its cold and as it warms up the picture starts to get static through it (usual bad mpeg stream sort of deterioration).

This is using the Terratec driver and the original afatech one.

oh i also noticed that it seems to be drawing the full/max 500mA from the usb bus, and the info on the afatech site says 400mA. hmm.. I dont know if i should be worried about that.. perhaps my copy is faulty

Hi all,

Just got one of these donggles too. Cannot get it to work, read all pages, but my problem is different all of you.

I have a P4 2.4 Core duo 1gb ram gigabyte motherboard 965-ds4 etc. When I go to scan for channel in Blaze s/w, after 2 seconds it restarts my PC.

I have dowloaded the files mentioned here and the cd is same version.

Any ideas?

Thanks

What a piece of crap....spent nearly 2 days and nothing.......not even a glimps.

I tried the terratec on a vmware machine as Blaze keeps crashing my PC. Terratec picked up all the 30 channels but could not see any think just blank screen and cracking sound.

So I install the terratec on my laptop but it does not pick up any channels. Then it started to bluescreen every time I tried to scan. And once it crashes, thats it it always crashes, so I have to do a restore to the point before the drivers we're installed.

I am now wondering if my USB stick is actually faulty.

EDIT:
Just tried the blaze again, it shows full signal on the bar, but every now and then 'No Signal' flashes up in the main tv windows, what does that mean?

Erer:

On mine i cant get full signal on all the channels, only one Sad And after a while it drops down to no bars and the video goes choppy and i get static. So I dont think its your usb stick being faulty.

Is yours drawing 500mA also?

I'm new, first post, fyi I'm in SW Florida so a lot of the info here is not relevant to the broadcast signals here.
I have been reading with great respect many of the helpfull threads.

Just thought I'd add that the AF9005 device uses this silicon tuner as a front end, here's the spec sheet for the MT2060 chip.

http://www.microtune.com/products/digita...ment.shtml

I have never seen any channels on this device after trying all your suggestions, it just does not work, I give up.
Switched to the HVR950 and can watch two digital stations now with the same amplified rabbit ears ant.
