and this still happens on the newer 5.4 version?? You're on MDB rather than sql-lite?

I think I had to do some special stuff for mdb that is not as robust (removed the parameters, this is why you can read the query). For sql lite I'd like to put them back in, but will make dealing with mdb a bit difficult.

I am on SQLite.

It is a bit difficult to keep track of your version numbers. The wiki still says the latest is 5.2, but the support thread says 5.2/5.3.

So I downloaded the zip file frm the wiki and installed. The problem remains and the error message is identical.

Can I suggest that you put the version number on the config dialogue somewhere so that this can be easily verified.

hmm, thought I had put a 5.4 out after some testing by you and another chap. I'll revisit.

And yes I'll add version numbers in there somewhere (you should actually be able to tell from the .dll file)

I got a second or two to check the dll version I am using and it is 5.4.2565.36792. And just to be sure I repeated the problem.

Code:
01/02/2007 09:39:10.410    ERROR    [1]    MusicLibrary2: DB Error retrieving titles : SQLite error near "t": syntax error
01/02/2007 09:39:10.410    VERBOSE    [1]    MusicLibrary2: Query: SELECT artist, title, filename, album, tracknumber, duration, datemodified, hasart, pathid, composer FROM musiclibrary  WHERE excludedatabase=0 AND (pathID=2 )  AND ARTIST='Oasis' AND ALBUM='Don't Believe the Truth' ORDER BY tracknumber

Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm afraid I've already tried that and it doesn't seem to do anything (at least, not with the MVP).

Steve.

I've not been able to get it working via MVP either. Does it matter if it is MusicLibrary2 or Music Library2 or Music Library 2? If so, which one is correct?

This http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...stcount=26 is what the plugin author said. I can confirm this is the only form that works on my MVP

Hi,
I'm having some problems playing m4a files in musiclibrary2 as well as music library. The strange thing is that I used to be able to play m4a files up to about a week ago. Now I think I've tried almost everything to regain this functionality (since 80% of my mp3s are m4a format). I first tried nuking my library and rescanning all of my mp3s. I've tried removing ml2 and reinstalling it. I also tried re-copying my old m4a files from my ipod and I still had no success with gbpvr. The problem is localized to gbpvr because I can play the files with no problem in Windows Media Player. Do you have any suggestions?

Ok, you've definitely got 5.4, I always update the first 2 version numbers.
I'll have to look into that, getting rid of parameters for mdb would probably have busted this.

Do m4a files show up? Ahh, and you can't play them in the normal GBPVR music library as well? Hmm, for this one you may need to post a message that you can't play m4a files in GBPVR in the original music player, and submit your logs for sub to look at..

Sorry for the delays in replying, I've been away for a couple of days.
