Are you trying to use this device for Analog or ATSC or QAM?

I'm not sure what the frequencies are exactly. For example the tv shows 20-455. I assumed that 20 was the frequency. I know that 455 is the actual channel. The 20 matches the 20.1 when doing the scan. The motorola box however shows a totally different frequency it was like 175 for the same channel. I can't get the music channels to work at all on gb-pvr. they are around 15 on the tv. From what I can tell it does scan by these frequencies but its not finding any channels. The same holds true for 99.1, the numbers match on the tv and scan but different on the moto box. Any ideas on what to try?

Thanks again.

Sorry I dont have any suggestions if you dont know that actual frequency number for these additional channels.

You could try doing a search on the forums for qam.ini files. I seem to remember some other users posting theirs which included some additional frequencies used by their cable operators other than the standard set searched. It might be worth trying those with your cable operator.

The mux isnt used when you watch live tv, so not relevent in this case.

What decoders have to tried on the playback tab of the config app?

Are you sure hardware acceleration is working on your setup? I know a lot of ATI 2400/2600 users are having driver problems resulting in no hardware acceleration not being available.

I am trying to use this card as well with qam. The card works fine for regular channels. I updated the driver yesterday. My problem is when I try to change the recording source to bda, gbpvr doesn't recognize my card. Am I missing something?

Make sure you have the following entries in your bda.ini:
Code:
[VistaView Saber]
TUNING_TYPE=ATSC
FILTER_TUNER=ViXS PureTV ATSC Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=ViXS PureTV Digital TV Receiver
PIN_TUNER_IN=Antenna In
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=TS Out

[VistaView Saber (QAM)]
TUNING_TYPE=ATSC
TUNING_SPECIAL=3
FILTER_TUNER=ViXS PureTV ATSC Tuner
FILTER_CAPTURE=ViXS PureTV Digital TV Receiver
PIN_TUNER_IN=Antenna In
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=TS Out

Reproduce the problem then zip and attach the logs and I'll take a look.

It probably wouldn't hurt to run FilterCheck.exe and post the resulting filtercheck.log either.
