got mine working (haven't done channel changing yet) by just installing the drivers (no Arcsoft).

However, I found I need to exchange my STB. The one I picked up Saturday won't play anything buy the HD locals. Comcast Sportsnet, SciFi HD, etc - all say "not active". I called Comcast & they tried several times to activate those channels on my box, but it wouldn't take.

Anyway, I'm going to exchange it on the way home from work - I get one more shot tomorrow & then I won't get to play w/ it for 3 weeks.

Did you install all the software? All I did was install the blaster config app & the drivers...

I didn't bother w/ total media theater. I've had issues w/ Arcsoft before.

I've tried a bunch of different configurations and installations but I couldn't tell you for sure I tried that. I guess i will go back and uninstall all the arcsoft stuff, including filters, and see if it works any better. its going to have to wait until this afternoon, though.

cautiously i wan to say that uninstalling all the arcsoft softare fixed my problem with the transport stream from the HD-PVR failing. PVRX2 has been running on the history channel HD for 20m now. ill declare success for sure once i get to 45m. EDIT: nevermind, it just froze

i dont have any sound right now which is kind of odd and judging from the video quality i think maybe the HD-PVR is stuck at a relatively low bitrate.

the sound issue probably will be apparent once i get back into the config but does anyone know how to change the bitrate the HD-PVR uses through GB-PVR? sageTV has a setting in the detailed settings (ive been playing around with both), do i have to edit a file for GB-PVR?

Mine just started exhibiting the behavior you described - quitting after a few minutes.

It was working fine last night.

Another thing that seems to have come up since this morning is that after sitting for a while, the blaster is to slow entering channel changes & (2..........13) the delay causes the channel to
not change.

UPDATE: I changed the delay in the Blastcfg app from 100ms to 50ms & that seems to have fixed that. However, the device quits regularly a few minutes into the recording now. If it quits, scheduling another recording sends the channel change signal, but the red light never comes on & I end up w/ a 0 size *.ts file.

Unplugging it fixes it for a few minutes.

I've noticed that if I leave it powered off for a while, it records for a longer period of time - it feels mildly warm to the touch, but no more than a DVD player - definitely not hot...
