In addition to the logs (you want) I attached in the previous post, here a screenshot of WinTV channel manager scan result.

Maybe it will help

Those looked like valid channel numbers. What did you see on the screen?

You should get the same result as Tuning Assistant, assuming you've chose the same country and tuning type (cable/antanna).

The TuningAssistent works fine - it shows me the correct TV channel for these channel-numbers .. it matches to the channel numbers I can see in WinTV channel manager.

The TV-singnal in PVRX2 shows nothinh at all (analog) channels - a "black" image with a lot of noise - not much. There is no flickering when I try to change the channel that indicates that the TV-card or a filter or whatever does not listen to my itention ..

and you definitely choose the same country and tuning type (cable vs antenna) in your capture source setup?

Yes ... definitely

germany and cable - in TunerAssistent and config ...

Few moments ago - I cant close PVRX2 -> I shut down my system for restart -> I restarted PVRX2 and chose a analog channel - I could see how PVRX2 (or direct show) tunes (finetuning ???) the channel to a working frequence.

Now I closed PVRX2 - restarted it - chosed a channel (from TV-guide) the same effect -> At first I see the noise and then the system tunes into the matching frequency.

When I can see a working channel number - I can switch to other channel-numbers successfully.

It seems that this feature does not work ever reliable - maybe the channel-frequencies are to far from sender-frequencies?

-------- edit -----------
I repeat this - now I got noise only - no tuning - nothing .. nothing .. hmm (without changing anything in my configuraition)

No problem .. seems it is a directshow problem or driver problem ..

There must be differences between your GB-PVR tells channelnr. to the device (or driver) and how WinTv does it.

There is definitely a difference between how GB-PVR and WinTV do it. WinTV does not use the Microsoft channel tables (and frequency overide registry settings). They have their own frequency table embedded in WinTV.

It should however give the same results as TuningAssistant, since they share much of their code.

Maybe try that ForceStandard=16 in direct.ini.

.. ForceStandard was set to this value all the time.

[SETUP-Main]
ForceStandard=16 // default was 0 SK
ForceMono=0
AudioLang=0
ForceFrameRate=0 // 0:Auto, 25TongueAL, 30:NTSC (it'll do 29.97)
UseGlobespanAudioSettings=1 // 0:No, 1:Yes

Hmm ... do you know how I could create such a tuning-table (at that key I deleted)? Maybe this can help DirectShow switching to correct frequencies.
