Can you describe the missing functionality in more detail and/or provide descriptive links? I don't use these features myself so I'd need to know how the xml files are named, where they are, and what they contain. And please elaborate on the automatically included sub-folders. How many levels deep would this recursive include go?

What was the gbpvr.link user error? Maybe it can be made more user-friendly somehow.

ok, i'll try to explain more clearly.
I have all of my media stored in individual folders
so something along the lines of
MyMovies
--->MovieName
------>Movie.avi

So I would like to be able to have an option (something like include subfolders)
so that if I had the MyMovies folder as a source, then it would automatically pull all video files from all subdirectories without having to explicitly put every folder into a gbpvr.link file. This way I get a nice non-directory based listing of all my movies.

As for the images,
right now under slick skin and the regular video library, if I have a xml file with the same name as the movie then it will use this for metadata. If the xml file has a node <Covers> it will use the images listed there as the image to display in the video library.
Currently, I believe, your videos library only looks in the directory structure for folder.jpg to display as the image. It would be great if it would also take into account the metadata file and the <Covers> node.

As for the user error, not exactly sure what I did wrong. I just started from scratch again and it worked for me.

I played around with Wiz metagrabber tool for the first time today and accidentally noticed that most of the info already is shown in videos library.
You just need to copy the "InfoSummary" from the Video Library skin.xml.
The only thing that is missing is the "@previewImage".
It is possible that this needs to be added to the icon view as well (didn't try that).

@Carlito: I currently assume that there are two mutually exclusive sources for images. Folder images come from "folder.jpg" and File images come from filename."jpg" (both of which I thought to be working). I don't currently process filename."xml":/Title/Covers but when I do, the first valid entry will be become a File image. Is there supposed to be another option for displaying Folder images or have I described the correct behavior?

I'm unsure how/if MyMovies.xml is supposed to work if there is more than one video file in the current folder. Should it it be used to display default information and covers when there's nothing more specific available?

New version 1.6 uploaded; flat file system view and xml cover art. I'm still not reading in "MyMovies.xml" however.

Keep the bug/feature reports coming.

All my images are stored as filename.tbn, so no .jpg.
They show up correctly in the original video library, i believe because sub checks for the <Covers> node in the xml file.

@Carlito: As far as I can tell the <Covers/Front> node is correctly used in v1.6. You'll have to describe the problem in more detail (again). What all can <Covers> contain?

Sorry, I have not tried the 1.6 version yet. I will do so when I get home.
I was just mentioning mine were stored as .tbn in response to
Quote:Folder images come from "folder.jpg" and File images come from filename."jpg"
I will let you know how i get along with the new version.
Thanks for the prompt fixes/feature adds Smile

As I said before, I have started to play around with metagrabber and xml-files.
The pictures from the xml-files is shown in the icon view, as they should. But as I prefer hybridmode I would like to use the infosummary that is part of the Slickskin (and the Mayhem3 skin). In this block I get name, duration and description "out of the box" already.

In the Infosummary block I also have the "@PreViewImage" but here it is not shown. This works in Video Library (as comparison). The image is not shown even if I use the Iconview.

Edit: Ahh, I got it! I can't use the "InfoSummary" block for the Image. I need to use the "CoverArt" block instead. So now it works.
This is even better as I want to have the summary block as small as possible.

I'll post my Blue skin here when I'm done tweaking it.
