Yeah, I'm not particularly happy with the way that works though.

I've overlooked your earlier message about inserting ScanDropTime. With ScanDropTime channel scan is even better. I still see unknown or MPEG2 channels, but I can get a good channel list with a couple of repeated scans on a few different frequencies.
But it doesn't improve my EPG. I don't get EPG for channels on some frequencies. Others frequencies are ok.
So a fix would for sure be nice. Even if you're not happy with the way it works :-)

I haven't looked into the EPG yet. Still just focusing on why your scan results are not great - which seems to stem from your cable company broadcasting the 'SDT' table a lot less frequently than other broadcasters. Most transmit it ever half second or so. Yours is a good couple of seconds.

I'm probably not going to have time to check it out in the next couple of days, but ping me again if you don't hear back in a couple of days.

I'm sure you're right about the less frequent SDT... I wouldn't know :-)
But it leads me to another question: The cable company's (Stofa here in Denmark) support to customers with a TV unable to find channels is to configure the TV to scan at QAM64, 346 MHz, 6900KS, Network ID 0. There is only one channel at this frequency, but a TV will find all channels, even though the remaining channels are on QAM256, at about 10-15 different frequencies. Why is it, that a TV can find all channels if the customer only enters a single frequency, but in NextPVR I have to use an ini-file with all frequencies?

The TV is getting the channel information from the NIT. Unfortunately I need to collect a bit more information, so need to look at each channel, to read the SDT from each frequency. It stems from NextPVR needing to know in advance whether video for that channel will MPEG2 or H.264 (due to the way Directshow works). That's not a problem on a TV, where they don't need to know this since it's decoder copes with both.

Been away for some days, but I still have the same problem with not-so-great channel scan, and also missing EPG from some frequencies.
Did you get a chance to look at it, or is there anything I can do?

I have still got your tab sitting open in my browser to come back to, but I've been a bit busy with day job stuff the last few days.

Hate to ask you again, but did you get a chance to get back to my dvb-c problem?

I finally found time to install v3.9.2. Channel scan finds every channel at all frequencies with their correct names, but all the channels are detected as MPEG2 and not H264 ?
EPG is now working fine for me with v3.9.2.
