Anyone else tried that patch? I'm curious how others are getting on with recording ATSC .mpg files via either the Cyberlink or ATI mux.

wtg, I'm curious if increasing the read buffer size will help your playback problem. Try creating the following registry key:

I've been on holiday sub and just now getting caught up with messages. I'll give this a try this evening and let you know what I find out.

I had a chance to try this out, but it had no effect. Watching in timeshift mode the picture frequently froze and the sound stuttered and repeated in frequent little 1 sec loops. Very strange.

If you have any other ideas I'm all ears.

I mostly buy out of my 'allowance' and when I do computer work for friends and family so that I come into a little extra cash.

The trick is getting the parts into the PC before she sees them!

I installed the patch. One recording came out really jerky and the audio was freezing every few seconds. The other recording looked pretty good - there was occasional blurring during movement, but the audio was rock solid. This was with the Cyberlink Mux on the server.
