Some nice new features, as soon as you support flac I can disable music library, but I think it is ready for release.

I still cannot get the numpad on the remote or the keyboard on the pch to do anything however.

There is also a message "Queing songs... please wait!" that seems to not get cleared out after stop is hit.

I agree with Martin that there should be support for flac too.
I also have a number of albums in ogg, so that would be useful too.

I really like this plugin, excellent effort, especially tag and playlist editing. My feature requests would be
- mp3-player-ipod-wmp-like capabilities, like shuffle all, and shuffle artist, or just toggle shuffle
- similar to above, toggle repeat, repeat one, repeat all, repeat album, repeat playlist
- when I select an artist, I would then like to be shown album folders for that artist

I only use the MVP with GBPVR. Some of these maybe you already have, but I couldn't find it.

I installed the latest version and I have some issues with it, just minor ones, though.
The music.xml and other settings files is overwritten when a new version is installed.
It would be better to either ask or put them in another folder for the user to manually update any eventual changes.
They are there to be edited, right? Wink

And a new request for the "asCoverArtDownloader", is it possible to edit the xml to place the covers in the playing folder? I use the new MLpanel as a screen saver (awesome plugin!!) and that prog shows the graphics that exist in the playing folder.

That would also make more sense for me as I can use the music folders from all computers in my home...

I now have a lot of covers in a folder, named and placed by default by the xml. Even if I select to keep them in this folder structure, I do not want them in my c:. If I move them (and change the settings in music.xml) do I have to edit the db as well??

@7ore

Are you running GBPVR in Client-Server mode and using Music plugin from clients?

At the moment I'm finding new CMD downloaders that I would like you to test.
Make a backup of your music.xml file for now. I will think about your suggestion for the future installations.

There is a purpose with having cover art thumbnails in the MusicArt sub directories. Speed, speed when loading very large album collection.
Also if you have a folder with mixed Artists/Albums ..AlbumArt can be shown.
I would guess that ML2 will support MusicArt/Albums in the future, since it is much better that having just a folder.jpg i a directory.
Don't move art from these directories when the art have been indexed by musicscanner.
You can manuall copy art to where you want.

You have to bare with all the changes right now.

I removed AutoLyrix and ACD, that required registration of OCX and AutoLyrics that didn't save art to MuusicArt folder. I have included AlbumArtAggregator (AAA) instead and CMD is set to "true" in Music.xml. I would like you to test AAA and see how it works.

2008–10–21 : Updated zip on wiki to v0.51
- Updated MusicScanner to v31
- FLAC and OGG support
- Added @year to PopupDetails
- Added FLAC support in EditTags
- Added OGG support in EditTags
- Added button "Clear Most Played" in PopupManage
- Supported filetypes in Folder View: .MP3, .WMA, .WAV, .OGG and .FLAC
- Removed AutoLyrix and ACD. AlbumArtAggregator (AAA) is default to test.

Happy testing
Best Regards

In the media\MusicArt\Album dir, the names of the .jpg files look as if they are built from the MP3 'Artist - Album' ID3 tag info, or have I missed something?

Yes, that is correct, the tags are read by MusicScanner and then copies the folder.jpg to .\media\MusicArt\Album with the name %Artist% - %Album%.jpg.
The command line strings for Album Art Downloaders use the same syntax in the command line.
If you have no cover art at all, the command line downloaders will fill the MusicArt/Album folder wiith album images when playing songs.
Even if you have all your music in one folder, you will get album art for all songs if they are tagged correctly.
Best Regards

MixMan, I am having real problems with folders where the track number isn't correct. It looks like if there is not a a logical 1,2,3,4 order nothing works. For example if track 1 is missing nothing shows in the folder in folder view and in artist or album view there are holes if there are missing files.

Also if there are duplicates in the collection for album instead of both songs being shown for the track nothing is shown.

Yes, we think this a bug in PVRX2 and have reported it to Sub.
The same thing happens in WebRadio if there are 2 stations with the same name.
Nothing we can do about it for now.
