Also, having sound issues again, no sound after about 2 secs. Playing the buffer files back in a 3rd party app the sound is just fine. Will attach logs:

Does the .mpg 2 playback settings also affect live TV? I have tried just about every audio codec and they all behave the same - 2 secs. audio, then silence. This is on HD content, I have not installed any analog capture devices, my ONE goal right now is to get the digital side working.

Sorry, but your posts seem to go in million different directions, and virtually impossible to follow your train of thought from the outside. It makes it really hard to help you.

You need to focus on one thing at a time, or maybe have separate threads for different issues.

Well, everytime I try something, 2 or 3 things happen. What about the error at the bottom of the pvrx2.exe-native.log? If I could get sound I might be on my way!

I will clear my logs, and post about the sound issue when I get home tonight. Once I get that resolved I will see if anything else rears it's ugly head.

Actually, here's my current problems:

1. Will not tune in all channels. I double checked last night and ABC-HD IS on 86.3, yet the darn tuner WILL NOT find that channel when doing a scan (well, take it back, it did find it at least once, but maybe ONLY once!). WinTV works fine - I DO NOT want to have to use WinTV - I want to use GBPVR. I have tried using the beta pre-release of the driver (which was posted on The Green Button as improving the sensitivity of the tuner) but everytime I try to do a scan with that driver, it locks up config.exe, however, once I get a scan and map a few channels, with the non-beta driver, I can switch to the new driver and it tunes in the channel fine! I also added a Comcast supplied Scientific Atlanta amp in the line to raise the signal level (that was noted in another post as a possible problem) - no change, still refuses to tune certain channels in various blocks of channels!

2. No sound after about 2 secs. of watching a digital channel. If I go play back the buffer files (in .ts format) with another program,they play fine, no audio problems at all, which tells me it is receiving fine - seems to be an issue with the audio decoders.

The fact that WinTV seems to work (at least much better than GBPVR) tells me the card is not the issue. Problem is WinTV uses channel #s that do not relate to anything, and looking at their database, I can't find how it tunes the tuner, there are no frequencies in the database I can find, and nothing unique except the channel #! So trying to go through 300+ channels to check every one, I haven't tackled yet.

Maybe I'll try dropping back to to the previous version to see if that makes any difference, noticed another post about not finding channels and going back seemed to work.
