maybe try a fresh install of XP on the machine?
This is what I would do: - XP reinstall fresh - Install as recent drivers as possible - Run windows update/install SP3 - Make sure you have the DX9 updates, .NET framework, vcredist from the sticky - install NPVR and ONLY the codecs you think you'll need (SAF) before going nuts on other apps that add codecs And that's only if you MUST use XP. I was a XP holdout for a long time (till last week actually) and Win7 is worlds better. For real.

Devistator Wrote:gus this is crazy.... Sorry, but you didnt. From SAF LOGs: - your SAF if still *locked*. Check your PM, i sended you unlock instructions... Use this SAF5 build. - GPU driver date: 2-9-2006 - you didnt update GPU drivers to catalyst 10.2? - you still have NERO installed, please remove it - what installed "CyberLink SAC Video Decoder"? I never hear about it before. Remove it if possible. If you have PowerDVD installed, remove it. It is possible it was installed by you TV tuner software. If yes, uninstall it and install only TV tuner drivers (not any applications). So update you GPU drivers from this link. It is Catalyst from 02.2010. Remove NERO, Power DVD (or whatever installed PowerDVD decoders). Acording instructions i sended you by PM, unlock SAF. Reinstall SAF5 - this version Configure nPVR like this: ![]()

SickBoy Wrote:maybe try a fresh install of XP on the machine? I agree. Something in the decoder/Filter section is definitly screwed up badly. A fresh install of Windows, the pre-requirments for npvr and a simple and reliable codec package (like CCCP) shold help. Do not install other applications until npvr works at this stage. uninstalled and reinstalled all the codecs and NPVR as suggested.
See the included captures Still no picture. I guess, my next step will be new xp install or upgrading to win7.
