Screensaver turned off now - sorry. Still wouldn't start with it off though

On the three hour session, I was distracted and just left the NMT running - having run your debug program - until I got back to it for another try

I knew about the screen resolution. It has never made a difference to getting some sort of menu before - obviously it won't look right, but as test of whether mvpmcx2 is working at all I thought it would be OK. Changed it this time - though its on a different TV, still wrong!

Here is another try - composite output, startmeup commented out, screensaver off. BTW Each time I do a composite try (with startmeup on) I get a brief flash of blue, before the screen goes blank as usual

I'd do something drastic now assuming that something in the setup is causing the issues that is not NMT related.

stop the recording service

del *.dll from the program folder

remove C:\Users\Public\NPVR\skin\Default\

remove the thumbnail cache something like C:\Users\Public\NPVR\thumbs

copy in all the johnsonx42 patches.

Run the 3.2.9 installer

OK will do - may be a day or two before I want to risk missing the recorder for an extended period

The changes I suggested are relatively low risk, I wouldn't hesitate given that you are already on 3.2.9.

Martin,

Back from radio silence!

OK, did all this, no real problems encountered except the X-NEWA pin seemed to get changed.

No change to behaviour. Everything working except mvpmcx2 - can play back over NMT if I set up the recordings directory as a share, NEWA works, X-NEWA works over my RPi XBMC set up (with the blue UI too)

A set of logs is attached. Won't be much in the older ones as I had a few restarts today

Unless something strikes you I am inclined to give this up, having got the blue UI back via Rpi, XBMC and X-NEWA

BTW The date is wrong on the putty log name, it was done today. the putty log in the NPVR logs is an old one

That would crash because you defined a screen bigger than 1280x720

2014-04-16 16:45:58.615 [DEBUG][3] SendIncrementalFrameData (loc = 40,20) (rect = {X=0,Y=0,Width=1280,Height=680})

Where is the screen definition? the NMT says 'fit to screen', the NPVR config says 1280 x 680?

1280 but with an offset off 40 making it 1360. I wrote earlier to use 1200

Whoops, only changed the screen definition for the NMT that seems to have got bricked, sorry

New logs attached. I first ran without commenting out startmeup, then with startmeup commented out. The Putty log is for the second run

Sorry Steve I don't see anything wrong in those logs. As a last resort could you install another skin and try it?
