Don't bother with any more patches for the CCextractor, I'll just remove it altogether as the others have done.
However, I still need a method of seeing the ClosedCaptions.
As I understand your previous statements, if I use a MainConcept decoder I should be able to get CCs without the CCextractor installed.
I tried 2 different versions of MC; one I had laying around for years (V1.5) from when I used to do video editing work and another one I got off a old Hauppauge DVD. Neither one of them display CCs.
Can you tell me the version you use that displays the CCs and where I may find a copy.
I tried contacting MainConcept but never got any response from them.
FYI: The "Idol" show from last night played fine with the latest CCextractor you sent me

None of them are gonna display CCs without CC Extractor now. In the next release I'll make it use that older method of closed captions if you'd selected in a MainConcpt decoder.
Which version of NPVR still has the MainConcept decoder displaying CCs?
I set up a test machine with 3.5.7 and I still can't see CCs with either of the 2 decoders I have.
Unfortunately there isn't enough info in the log to tell (and I can't make changes to 3.5.7 to add logging). If you download and run GraphEditNext, and insert the MainConcept decoder, does it have a "~CC" pin?
OK, that got me out of your hair for a bit
This is the first time I've ever seen GraphEditNext.
Not sure if I'm doing this correctly.
After inserting the 2 filters there's an IN and an OUT point on the filter box displayed.
If I right-click on any of these points and display pin properties they all report "(none)".
As I said, I'm probably not doing what you asked for.
