Ok the attached logs are with ContourHC skin and gbmvp.bin. I rebooted set the MVP skin to ContourHC (I was getting the same problems with default blue). and started the MVP. I entered Live TV watched for a few minutes and exited.

Presto the damn "object reference. . . . " message.

I hope this helps.

I'm also getting the "object blah blah" when I try to play a WMA file in My Music. I didn't get a chance to try it with the core music plugin. It worked on the previous version.

This is caused a reasonably when known bug with the MyPictures plugin. Just disable it.

Post a log for this one too and I'll take a look.

If you can send me a download URL for a short video clip, I'll download it and take a look.

Ok, I'll give that a try. I haven't been using my MVP until recently so I didn't know it was a problem. MyPictures is the issue even though I'm not accessing it? Thats annoying.

I'm going to guess My Muisc is also a plugin specific problem. I'll try the core Muisc plugin. If it's still an issue I'll zip the log and send it to you.

Thanks Sub

I've stop using the My Series one of the reasons and just use the default Music, Videos and Picture Library instead and also for video Recordings and Video Archiver very stable on the MVP.

Yeah, that's what I'm finding out. I've had my MVP in the bottom of a drawer for months. With the wife wondering why the computer in the living room is always on I decided to give it another go.

Is it possible to run specific plugin's on the MVP and another set on the PC? The would solve some problems.

Thanks tipstir.

I hate to admit this but my wife seemed to solved the problem. She commented that it was only on the one MVP. This is why we could watch moives from DVD2MPG because it was on a different MVP.
Any way we unlpuged the MVP and now it works fine again.

I have to admit I'm quite a noob at this stuff, but I'd like to try the new fix and can't seem to stop stuff from using GBPVR.exe in order to replace it! I'm sure it's something super simple, but could someone give me a tip? Thanks guys!

You need to stop the GB-PVR Recording Service (in Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Services in WinXP).

I seem to have issues similar to others in this thread; I applied the patch from Sub and that seems to have improved all functions except one: I can no longer watch past the end of one program without an MVP reboot. In other words, if choosing a program from the guide and watching live, the MVP will die when the end of the program time comes up. It will not re-connect to server unless I pull the plug and let it restart. Using the dongle.bin that came with the 96.12 install (the 23096 version.) Log attached.

Should I go back to 95.16 and/or some dongle.bin to get a stable system? I love the setup, but it just is not stable enough to use yet!

Thanks for any advice.
