Would you believe I actually tried blowing on the device to see if it had any effect? Well it didnt stop the problems i was having.. only delayed them (if you read my previous posts my copy would receive tv then gradually loose the tv signal as it got warm). I honestly dont know if the warming of the device is the problem or not. Same with the 500ma current usage - I can atleast confirm that with a COMPRO U500 it uses 500mA also and doesnt seem to be a problem.

i think the afatech chipset is shit  and doesnt work for many ppl. I dont think it helps u but its a nice warm feeling to know that ur not the only person with the same problems. :p Thats why i ended up buying a compro u500. its great and works a treat. Big Grin Unfortunately i havnt been able to get it to run with gb-pvr but thats another story.

i also tried to blow it, it didn't have any effect, then i bought cold spray -55 C and spayd that on the chip then i re catched the signal, but not for long time. Think this is crap chip! I also noticed that the AF9005 is not the warmest chip on board, there is another one, only reading ROHS 2006. maybe that is the chip to blame?! maybe not.... same to me

btw.. u still might like to try the CINERGY T USB XE software/drivers. its a better application imho. its more pvr like. you will loose the remote control capability though. i was still getting the loss of tv signal as the unit warmed up with the cinergy driver, but your milage may vary.. good luck if u do try.

After lot of searching I have finally found a site that has software I think I could use..
If only i could install the cinergy driver...

I am running Windows XP SP2 and I have one of these usb sticks.
I have removed the driver for it in device manager and then scanned for any hardware changes.

The computer finds the dvbt again and asks should it install driver...
I cancel the one it wants to install.
Then go back into device manager and go to point it towards the unknown usb device. I then go to update driver and point it toward specific folder..
It asks for hardware type and I select Windows CE usb devices.
I then get told it has found AF9005BDA device and try and install the new cinergy driver that I have downloaded off the link above. Cinergy_T_USB_XE.inf all I get next is that the specified location does not contain information about your hardware..

Can anyone please help me...
i really dont like Blaze software and this seems my only way out of the situation, unless I buy a new card and cannot afford that.

Thanks

Regards
