Thanks for answering my questions earlier. I was wondering if I could add a feature request to your queue. I believe you have read my ealier post on a different thread but I will try to reconvey my wish. In the past I had rewrote the MusicAlbum plugin to be more visual. When I scrolled through my albums it always popped up the album art. This gave me/my friends a more of a jukebox type feel. What I was thinking/hoping is that you could create a new "(Default) Panel Layout" called "Artist-Album". This would basically list all of the albums on the left pane. Ie. "Pink Floyd - The Wall". In this mode, the top right panel would then just contain information about the album. Ie Album Art, Name, Year, Genre etc. In the bottom right panel would be the list of songs on the album just like your current plugin works.
Let me know what you think!

Any chance of implementation of ToDO list item 'Add composer as a field and a screen configuration' this time? I am happy to test alpha's and beta's

My new library doesn't support it.

Can you send me a track that has it used, I'll have to force the windows Media Player for reading tracks with that (which will limit the tracks to MP3 or WMA). I need to find out what tag is used by WMP for composer.

smelcher. I think what you're asking for is possible, but I'm not sure for the next release.

It almost sounds like you're after the windows MCE version of a music library I think that one has two panels doesn't it??

If you click ok on a track then you are shown a deails screen - effectively you would like that up all the time is that correct?? As I said it should be possible - but I'm not sure for the next .4 release.

I'm not if its the same at the MCE or not. Basically I really like the functionality/UI of the "Music Albums" plugin but your plugin is by far and away more advanced.
Let me see if I can explain this better. I'd like the left pane to have a list of albums but sorted Artist-Album. As I scroll through the albums, the top left would have the album info and the bottom left would have the tracks. This would disable your top left panel as you would no longer be able to jump to it.

Now I also have a few more requests (If I am getting annoying, tell to take a hike)
1) Make the OK button queue the current song. Currently it pops up a window displaying info about the song.
2) After I queue a song jump to the playlist
3) In the playlist window, if I hit the left or the right button make it go back to the library
4) Option to remove the (all) options from the album list. I have over 1000 albums and I would never want to perform any function.
5) Perhaps pop up a window when the user hits something like the Random button (Are you sure you want to randomize the list). The problem is that I often use my MVP during parties and newbiess tend to hit the wrong button by accident and mess up the tracks. I just want to eliminate the ability for someone to do something drastic to the playlist unintenionally.
6) Seems very unstable for me. If I hit the random buttons a couple of times or if I am adding a few songs the whole thing crashes
7) Add ability to page down. In my plugin I use the Red button to page up and the Yellow button to page down

I know its a lot but please let me know what you think. Great plugin!

As I said this might be possible - it will take a bit of effort and wont be for the next bug fix release I'm putting out.

Yes, because currently there is the Ctrl-Y (yellow hauupage button) and Ctrl-P - play button that have this functionality.

I thought about this one, and it's currently set up so you can queue a song then queue up another. If it jumped direct to the playlist all the itme it might get annoying. It may become a configurable item though later on...

Have added this, and it WILL be in the next bug fix release (4.4 released soon).

Haven't had anyone else complain of this - can you post this as a seperate thread - with an example how to cause it to crash..

The channel up/channel down does this.


I'll add some of your ones as things to do in the future. Since most of them seem to be UI based.

I am not at all an expert on this. What I have dug up sofar is that the ID32v3 tag for composer is TCOM according to the manual of Mp3tag v2.37a.

I will send you that manual and an audio track with header information on composer. Hope you can stand baroque harpsichord music...

I've got your track and I've found the WMP and my new readers composer. Just got to add all the code to store it, read it, and display it.

I would want to retain this

I'd find this really annoying as I often jump around library queueing things

I would certainly like this on the playlist window as I have often done it by accident

not experienced this like you I have serval thousand albums and tracks and to be honest ml2 has been the only music plugin which has coped

I'd like to change the interface to something like the attached image as you can see I'm not very capable with image editing programs but hopefully you'll get the idea

but basically a list of artists down the left and on the right display the album art, jump to the left and select an album to play or select tracks from, at some later date perhaps some sort of functionality to obtain info about an artist from last.fm amazon freedb etc

havent really thought about artists where there maybe is only one track or folders which conatin many single tracks by various artists etc
