Problems during instalation of MusicLibrary2

I installed musiclibrary2 as noted in the wiki and after that config.exe crashed and pvrx2.exe crashed. No fun....
So I uninstalled musiclibrary2, still config.exe and pvrx2.exe crash.
Reboot, problems gone.

Retry.
Before installing musiclibrary2 I stopped the recording service.
Installed musiclibrary2 and rebooted.
config.exe and pvrx2 no longer crash.
No musiclibrary2 visible in pvrx2
Go to config and configure musiclibrary2.
Don't forget to set the path to the musiclibrary2.db3 file on the general panel. You receive a warning that it will overwrite the existing database. Don't bother and let it proceed.
Now all is well.

Erik, I'd recommend moving up to the 6.7 beta as well, I think there was a problem with 6.5 where I overwrote the config.xml file while the service was running (to do with checking when the last scan was).

Meaning any configuration changes take effect, but then are reverted after about an hour.

The disadvantage with 6.7 is that it looks like you MUST have the taglib-sharp reader - a bug that hasn't been fixed yet.

I can install either - tried 6.7 beta and the one before.

The 6.7 version crashes the config.
The one before didn't work in PRX2 and the ML2 config in the main app crashed as well.

The 6.7 beta version contains files older than those on my installation.

What are the steps to make this work as I followed the wiki with no success so far.

Can you post some of the logs with the errors. i'm guessing the main error is the lack of taglib-sharp. See the first post of the 6.7 post for a link to the library

Thanks for the reply - I've had to take a step back as my system has problems when I add a graphics card.
I'll get back to this step soon - hopefully.

I have success (well its loading my MP3s to the DB now).

Stop GBPVR service and close GBPVRTray.exe

Start config (settings are now saved).

Install taglib-sharp (version 2.0.2.21, I couldn't get it working on 2.0.2.0 !!) into MusicLibrary2 & Common.

Now works great
