Problem with MusicLibrary2 v6.5

I've just installed ML6.5 for the first time. I've queued up come tracks (all MP3s) and the first one will play. But if I hit stop and select another track and then play, not sound comes out. I see the counter going up (in other words, the track is playing), just no sound. Any ideas?

Changing the Audio Renderer on the Playback tab in Config to the real audio device instead of System Default fixed a similar problem for me...

My audio renderer was already set to the DirectSound driver of my soundcard. I should also report that when the tracks are playing and there's no sound, the system becomes sluggish. Something is eating resources. Logs indicate nothing out of the ordinary.

And to test you would probably experience the same problem in the default music library.

Good call. In the standard music library, some files play, other get the hard drive working and no sound. Any ideas?

Probably to do with the audio decoders and renderers.

Also you could have a look at the useWindowMediaForAudio setting inside your config.xml file and change it to the opposite.

I've changed the config.xml setting (both to use/not use windows media player), changed the audio renderer and decoder to different settings and still can't find the problem. All files play fine under windows media player fine. It seems I'm having problems with the files that I had in iTunes. Does iTunes damage id3 tags or something? Is there any way to check? Thanks.

Grrrrr! Seems as if it was the ID3 tag version that was giving problems. I had iTunes convert to v2.2 and now all is well. Thanks for your help.

Funny that tags would cause a file to no play properly...but I guess if tag information spills over to the music part then it could damage it.

Just installed v6.5, GBPVR v1.0.16 on client (client server setup).

All basic installs, getting this error in the server log
