Odd request 1:


Sometimes, but certainly not always, I would like to play a specific film before the main film starts.

Ie. when the lads coming over it would be cool if one of the THX logos starts before the real film starts up.

The easiest and most convenient way would be to start a playing a film in two ways: Button names: "Play Movie" "Start Cinema"

The first button would be for normal playing the selected movie, the second one is when I want the THX logo played first and directly followed by selected film.

So in short:
On the "My Videos" plugin page add a new button.
In the "My Videos config" add a checkbox for "Enable cool feature" and a file-browser field for selecting the THX-logo path.


Is this possible to do? Yes ofcourse!


Is anyone else interested of such a feature?

Odd (maybe not) request 2:

It would be nice if I could tag two files to be played in a row. Very often my homevideos are divided into two avi-files and it would be smooth if they played after each other automatically.

Is this possible, does anyone else want this, can you fix it?

Actually, this would be nice, and currently I'm using Meedio as my front end because of a plugin that already does this for Meedio. It's called PlayMee on Meedio, and it allows for specification of a folder that contains trailers and another folder for intros. It will randomly pick from these folders to play a specified number of trailers and pick one random intro. Thus giving you coming attractions before the movie starts.

I have a perl script that I got from somewhere that parses Apple's Quicktime movie site, and downloads all the new trailers. I can then randomly play three trailers before I watch a movie if I want. Gives it the Cinema type feel when having friends over.

ive already asked sub if he could add a few methods to gbpvr so this wud be possible (its pretty much impossible at the moment, or it would require a lot of work and be extrememly messy (i tried, it was a mess)).

your reasons for wanting this feature, are honestly extremely wierd. im planning on doing playlists like in my music, mostly for music videos, but this also would work for your request. we'll just have to wait and see if sub adds the methods, he is a busy man after all.

im fiddling around with my music, rewriting most of the filelist code, getting itunes to work etc.
im always tweaking something, have to fix my xmltv grabber after that (those are a pain in the arse).

reven, is your xmltv grabber working these days, and does it contain SkyNZ channels? My NZ XMLTV feed is broken.
